Teenagers quotes by Khadija Rupa
#1. She was a wonderful teenage girl who had the miraculous power to cure herself from any wound, either physical or mental. With her own salty tears, she would cleanse her raw wounds. And her breaths were given, as though not to breathe but, rather, to fan her sores. #Quote by Khadija Rupa
Teenagers quotes by Anne Lamott
#2. Life with most teenagers was like having a low-grade bladder infection. It hurts, but you had to tough it out. #Quote by Anne Lamott
Teenagers quotes by Chael Sonnen
#3. The only people with six packs are teenagers and drug addicts. #Quote by Chael Sonnen
Teenagers quotes by Kay Panabaker
#4. My whole thing is that often times when teenagers are about 18, 19, 20, 21, they get this mentality that they have to be old, they have to appear older, they can no longer be seen as a high schooler, they need to be seen as mid-20s all of a sudden even though they're only, like, 20. I'm the opposite of that. #Quote by Kay Panabaker
Teenagers quotes by Gary Shteyngart
#5. The goal of politics is to make us children. The more heinous the system the more this is true. The Soviet system worked best when its adults - its men, in particular - were welcomed to stay at the emotional level of not-particularly-advanced teenagers. #Quote by Gary Shteyngart
Teenagers quotes by Sherman Alexie
#6. As a child, I read because books–violent and not, blasphemous and not, terrifying and not–were the most loving and trustworthy things in my life. I read widely, and loved plenty of the classics so, yes, I recognized the domestic terrors faced by Louisa May Alcott's March sisters. But I became the kid chased by werewolves, vampires, and evil clowns in Stephen King's books. I read books about monsters and monstrous things, often written with monstrous language, because they taught me how to battle the real monsters in my life.

And now I write books for teenagers because I vividly remember what it felt like to be a teen facing everyday and epic dangers. I don't write to protect them. It's far too late for that. I write to give them weapons–in the form of words and ideas-that will help them fight their monsters. I write in blood because I remember what it felt like to bleed. #Quote by Sherman Alexie
Teenagers quotes by Sarah Ayoub
#7. But sir, I'm seventeen," I reply bluntly. "I'm genetically programmed to want to make statements. #Quote by Sarah Ayoub
Teenagers quotes by Cat Winters
#8. Come along. Let's get out of here and go toast to youth and vampires and rebellion. #Quote by Cat Winters
Teenagers quotes by Katha Pollitt
#9. Contrary to the popular stereotype of abortion-seeking women as promiscuous teenagers or child-hating professionals, around 6 in 10 women who have abortions are already mothers. #Quote by Katha Pollitt
Teenagers quotes by Barbara Kingsolver
#10. Absence of that knowledge has rendered us a nation of wary label-readers, oddly uneasy in our obligate relationship with the things we eat ... Our words for unhealthy contamination
"soiled" or "dirty"
suggest that if we really knew the number-one ingredient of a garden, we'd all head straight into therapy. I used to take my children's friends out to the garden to warm them up to the idea of eating vegetables, but this strategy sometimes backfired: they'd back away slowly saying, "Oh man, those things touched dirt!" Adults do the same by pretending it all comes from the clean, well-lighted grocery store. We're like petulant teenagers rejecting our mother. We know we came out of her, but ee-ew. #Quote by Barbara Kingsolver
Teenagers quotes by Matthew Tobin Anderson
#11. Older teens tend to write to me and say, 'Thank you for not writing down to teenagers.' #Quote by Matthew Tobin Anderson
Teenagers quotes by Karen Cushman
#12. I am near fourteen and have never yet seen a hanging. My life is barren. #Quote by Karen Cushman
Teenagers quotes by Simon R. Green
#13. I ignored him, concentrating on Lilith. "According to the stories, after you were expelled from Eden you went down into Hell, where you coupled with demons and gave birth to all the monsters that have plagued the world."
"I was young," said Lilith. "You know how it is. We all do things we later regret, when we're being rebellious teenagers. #Quote by Simon R. Green
Teenagers quotes by Emma Cline
#14. The only teenagers in town seemed to kill themselves in gruesomely rural ways - I heard about their pickups crashing at two in the morning, the sleepover in the garage camper ending in carbon monoxide poisoning, a dead quarterback. I didn't know if this was a problem born of country living, the excess of time and boredom and recreational vehicles, or whether it was a California thing, a grain in the light urging risk and stupid cinematic stunts #Quote by Emma Cline
Teenagers quotes by Esosa Kolawole
#15. Fib and the Axe of fury

The urge to leave came strong, insistent, urgent. I couldn't stand the hypocrisy that my mother
was showing. Suddenly, the woman whom I'd adored for most of my life became the bad guy:
a liar who wanted to hide the truth from her own child. #Quote by Esosa Kolawole
Teenagers quotes by Chris Colfer
#16. You'd think after thousands of years on this planet the human race would have released some kind of handbook for teenagers, telling them how to get through teenagehood and get help for their issues. Yet here we are, struggling through it in our own ways. #Quote by Chris Colfer
Teenagers quotes by Rebecca McNutt
#17. ... So, um, you're from Rochester? Like, New York?" Jersey asked.
"Yup, we used to live out there," Rudger confirmed, nonchalant. "You ever been?"
"Naw, the closest I've ever been to there would be ... well, believe it or not, New Jersey, the place where my parents named me after. It was crowded, polluted and full of crime ... I loved it. #Quote by Rebecca McNutt
Teenagers quotes by Tony Burgess
#18. An Underground that knew all about this, knew all about Les, was preparing to wake up the world and invite it to a Canada's Wonderland made of bodies. Giant bloodslides. Houses of torture where children's kidneys are twisted like sponges in the fat hands of musclemen. There would be buns crammed with the cooked knuckles of teenagers, and a king, sitting on a mountain of kings, eating his own shoulder. #Quote by Tony Burgess
Teenagers quotes by Warren Ellis
#19. On the evidence I have on hand at home, social media isn't killing our children. It isn't killing families, either, because the constant long bloody phone calls that parents complained to their teenagers about in decades past are gone. #Quote by Warren Ellis
Teenagers quotes by Pam Jones
#20. One would think, however, that sharing a name might offer a thin string of connection. It was always a thrill to meet someone who had the same name as you, and unlike a lot of things, this was a thrill that never quite faded. #Quote by Pam Jones
Teenagers quotes by Kate Egan
#21. In The Hunger Games, there's something for everyone.
A gripping adventure.
A political commentary.
A love story.
A cautionary tale.
Some call it science fiction, some call it potential reality.
Some say it's for teenagers, some say it's for adults.
The book--and now the film--captures themes and concerns that seem timely.
But its real strength, in the end, is that it's timeless. It speaks to us today, and it will speak--even more powerfully--tomorrow. #Quote by Kate Egan
Teenagers quotes by Anonymous
#22. They assumed children were terrors, and teenagers were the leaders of them all. #Quote by Anonymous
Teenagers quotes by Lily Cole
#23. I was like most teenagers. I wanted to look more conventional - you know, to just be the pretty girl in school. #Quote by Lily Cole
Teenagers quotes by Bob Cox
#24. About 4000 men, women and teenagers regularly venture out to play a game in -20 weather and stinging prairie winds. Bundled in sweaters and snow suits, balaclavas on their heads and suction cupped shoes on their feet. They slip and slide across the outdoor hockey rinks chasing a soft rubber puck in the Sponge Hockey Capital of the World. #Quote by Bob Cox
Teenagers quotes by Twiggy
#25. They go on about banning size zero, but I think Hollywood stars are the worst perpetrators. Most models are naturally long and gangly, while a lot of these young girls in Hollywood have gone on extreme diets. Their concave chests and bony arms are terrifying. It's scary to think that normal teenagers are tempted to copy them. #Quote by Twiggy
Teenagers quotes by Pittacus Lore
#26. We're depending on a bunch of horny teenagers to save the world. #Quote by Pittacus Lore
Teenagers quotes by Sherman Alexie
#27. Teenagers read millions of books every year. They read for entertainment and for education. They read because of school assignments and pop culture fads.
And there are millions of teens who read because they are sad and lonely and enraged. They read because they live in an often-terrible world. They read because they believe despite the callow protestations of certain adults that books-especially the dark and dangerous ones-will save them. #Quote by Sherman Alexie
Teenagers quotes by David Levithan
#28. Danger comes in many forms, I suppose. For some people, it might be jumping off a bridge or climbing impossible moutains. For others, it could be a tawdry love affair or telling off a mean-looking bus driver because he doesn't like to stop for noisy teenagers. It could be cheating at cards or eating a peanut even though you're allergic. For me, danger might be getting out from the protective cloak of my family and venturing into the world more of my own, even though I don't know what- or who- awaits me. #Quote by David Levithan
Teenagers quotes by Ellen Barkin
#29. I guess if you're lucky enough not to have to pay your rent, then you or I take much more seriously the kind of work that I do, what it takes for me to leave two teenagers of my own and six stepchildren and a husband and four grandchildren. #Quote by Ellen Barkin
Teenagers quotes by Jen Lancaster
#30. Over the summer we chatted one night while Angie stripped a bed, changed wet sheets, comforted and repajamaed a toddler, and chased down a car of speeding teenagers while shaking a brick at them, never once interrupting the conversation or setting down her margarita. The only reason this woman isn't president of General Motors is because she's chosen not to be. #Quote by Jen Lancaster
Teenagers quotes by Rabih Alameddine
#31. As teenagers, a lot of us just did not want much to do with Arabic culture - we looked to the West. #Quote by Rabih Alameddine
Teenagers quotes by Kathy Lette
#32. Teenagers are obviously God's punishment for having sex in the first place. #Quote by Kathy Lette
Teenagers quotes by Jill Walker Rettberg
#33. Apps which allow us to see our own data allow us to see ourselves. We look at our data doubles as we gazed into the mirror as teenagers wondering who we were and who we might be. We look at our data in much the same ways as you might flick through your selfies to find the one that shows you the way you want to be seen. #Quote by Jill Walker Rettberg
Teenagers quotes by Joan Lingard
#34. I like writing about teenagers because it's a time of great change and conflict. Up to then, you accept what your parents tell you. #Quote by Joan Lingard
Teenagers quotes by Kirtida Gautam
#35. Self -pity is the worst form of poison. It kills a person without the person realizing it ~ Aarush Kashyap #Quote by Kirtida Gautam
Teenagers quotes by Michael Jackson
#36. It puts a smile on my face to see all the children, and all the teenagers, and the adults - the demographics - it makes my heart very, very happy. I love them. I love all the fans, very much. #Quote by Michael Jackson
Teenagers quotes by Laurie Halse Anderson
#37. (From the Q&A with the author at the end of the book.)
Have any readers ever asked questions that shocked you?
I have gotten one question repeatedly from young men. These are guys who liked the book, but they are honestly confused. They ask me why Melinda was so upset about being raped.

The first dozen times I heard this, I was horrified. But I heard it over and over again. I realized that many young men are not being taught the impact that sexual assault has on a woman. They are inundated by sexual imagery in the media, and often come to the (incorrect) conclusion that having sex is not a big deal. This, no doubt, is why the number of sexual assaults is so high.

I am also shocked by adults who feel that rape is an inappropriate topic to discuss with teenagers. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 44 percent of rape victims are under the age of 18 and 46 percent of those victims are between the ages of 12-15. It makes adults uncomfortable to acknowledge this, but our inability to speak clearly and openly about sexual issues endangers our children. It is immoral not to discuss this with them. #Quote by Laurie Halse Anderson
Teenagers quotes by Violet Cross
#38. Ugh. I do not miss being your age." Sarah muttered, retracting her hand and wrinkling her nose. "It's like all teenagers have hormones coming out of their ears. #Quote by Violet Cross
Teenagers quotes by Sophie Hayes
#39. It really struck me that, just as people might look at me and never imagine I'd worked as a prostitute, they must look at some of those girls and see only the alienation and disaffection that hides their on fears and hurt. #Quote by Sophie Hayes
Teenagers quotes by Siddhartha Mukherjee
#40. There was no detectable association between gliomas and cell phone use overall. Prevention experts, and phone-addicted teenagers, may have rejoiced - but only briefly. #Quote by Siddhartha Mukherjee
Teenagers quotes by Bernhard Schlink
#41. I didn't like the way I looked, the way I dressed and moved, what I achieved and what I felt I was worth. But there was so much energy in me, such belief that one day I'd be handsome and clever and superior and admired, such anticipation when I met new people and new situations. Is that what makes me sad? The eagerness and belief that filled me then and exacted a pledge from life that life could never fulfill? Sometimes I see the same eagerness and belief in the faces of children and teenagers and the sight brings back the same sadness I feel in remembering myself. #Quote by Bernhard Schlink
Teenagers quotes by Catherynne M Valente
#42. Shall I tell her? Shall I be a kind and merciful narrator and take our girl aside? Shall I touch her new, red heart and make her understand that she is no longer one of the tribe of heartless children, nor even the owner of the wild and infant heart of thirteen-year-old girls and boys? Oh, September! Hearts, once you have them locked up in your chest, are a fantastic heap of tender and terrible wonders - but they must be trained. Beatrice could have told her all about it. A heart can learn ever so many tricks, and what sort of beast it becomes depends greatly upon whether it has been taught to sit up or to lie down, to speak or to beg, to roll over or to sound alarm, to guard or to attack, to find or to stay. But the trick most folk are so awfully fond of learning, the absolute second they've got hold of a heart, is to pretend they don't have one at all. It is the very first danger of the hearted. Shall I give fair warning, as neither you nor I was given? #Quote by Catherynne M Valente
Teenagers quotes by Cassandra Clare
#43. I see that even as the world plunges into darkness and peril, you two stand around discussing your love lives. Teenagers. #Quote by Cassandra Clare
Teenagers quotes by April Henry
#44. It's like we stepped into some TV show about cops or spies. Only we're not cops or spies. We're teenagers. #Quote by April Henry
Teenagers quotes by Desmond Morris
#45. The response of teenagers to their idols is relevant. As an audience, they enjoy themselves, not by screaming with laughter, but screaming with screams. #Quote by Desmond Morris
Teenagers quotes by A.S. King
#46. Then, Valentine's Day came. There was a dance, and balloons and flowers and cheaply made rings and all sorts of lame teddy bears and stuffed animals, as if teenagers can be wooed with the same shit as five-year-olds. It was the Dietzes' most hated holiday of the year, too, because it dealt with the consumerization of something sacred. Mom and Dad had agreed never to buy each other anything on the day. It was a false, Hallmark holiday. A sham. A moneymaking sideshow for insecure couples who didn't have true love. I agreed with this, for the most part. #Quote by A.S. King
Teenagers quotes by Bret Easton Ellis
#47. There was a song i heard when i was in los angeles by a local group. the song was called "los angeles" and the words and images were so harsh and bitter that the song would reverberate in my mind for days. the images, i later found out, were personal and no one i knew shared them. the images i had were of people being driven mad by living in the city. images of parents who were so hungry and unfulfilled that they ate their own children. images of people, teenagers my own age, looking up from the asphalt and being blinded by the sun. these images stayed with me even after i left the city. images so violent and malicious that they seemed to be my only point of reference for a long time afterwards. after i left. #Quote by Bret Easton Ellis
Teenagers quotes by Jean M. Twenge
#48. No matter what the cause, the result is the same: iGen teens are less likely to experience the freedom of being out of the house without their parents--those first tantalizing tastes of the independence of being an adult, those times when teens make their own decisions, good or bad. #Quote by Jean M. Twenge
Teenagers quotes by Hanna Alkaf
#49. Adults rarely like being told that they don't have all the answers, or worse still, that the answers they do have are all the wrong ones. #Quote by Hanna Alkaf
Teenagers quotes by Dave Eggers
#50. Kit, you know the key to relating to your parents now? It's mercy. Children, when they become teenagers and then young adults, grow unforgiving. Anything but perfection is pathos. Children are judgmental on an Old Testament level. All errors are unforgivable, as if a contract of perfection has been broken. But what if one's parents are granted the same mercy, the same empathy as other humans? Children need more Jesus in them. #Quote by Dave Eggers
Teenagers quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
#51. How do you know all this? Jeez, Tory, you're a kid. Act like it. (Geary)
(Tory reached out and punched her on the arm.)
Ow! What was that for? (Geary)
Unexpected and irrational emotional outbursts. Isn't that what teenagers are supposed to do? Oh, and sulk. A lot. (Tory) #Quote by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Teenagers quotes by Paul Weyrich
#52. Many nations are like rebellious teenagers who try to figure out just how many times they can kick us in the teeth while still taking our money. #Quote by Paul Weyrich
Teenagers quotes by Thomas S. Monson
#53. Some are young people who don't know who they are, what they can be or even want to be. They are afraid, but they don't know of what. They are angry, but they don't know at whom. They are rejected and they don't know why. All they want is to be somebody. #Quote by Thomas S. Monson
Teenagers quotes by Rick Detorie
#54. Before she closed the door, she hit me with this one: "I feel like it's November first," she said, "and I'm that discarded jack-o'-lantern whose heart and guts are splattered all over the boulevard of broken promises."
"And a good night to you, too," I said. #Quote by Rick Detorie
Teenagers quotes by Sherry Turkle
#55. Teenagers would rather text than talk. They feel calls would reveal too much. #Quote by Sherry Turkle
Teenagers quotes by W. Bradford Wilcox
#56. Compared to children raised in an intact, married family, children raised in single-parent or cohabiting homes are significantly more likely to suffer psychological problems such as depression, to get into trouble with the law, to become pregnant as teenagers, and to drop out of high school.75 #Quote by W. Bradford Wilcox
Teenagers quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
#57. As teenagers, we all see ourselves as outsiders ... and it's very easy to look at other people who are more popular, who have more pocket money, and it makes you feel even more like an outsider, and it does shape who you become as a person. #Quote by Maggie Stiefvater
Teenagers quotes by Alan Rickman
#58. Older people say, 'Oh I loved you in 'Sense and Sensibility,' and that's the only film they want to talk about. Equally, there are people who only want to talk about 'Galaxy Quest.' And there's a whole bunch of teenagers who only want to talk about 'Dogma.' #Quote by Alan Rickman
Teenagers quotes by Jojo Moyes
#59. Teenagers are basically toddlers with hormones - old enough to want to do stuff without having any of the common sense. #Quote by Jojo Moyes
Teenagers quotes by Gaia B. Amman

Teenagers quotes by James E. Lovelock
#62. Unfortunately, we are a species with schizoid tendencies, and like an old lady who has to share her house with a growing and destructive group of teenagers, Gaia grows angry, and if they do not mend their ways she will evict them. #Quote by James E. Lovelock
Teenagers quotes by Arundhati Roy
#63. In the years to come they would replay this scene in their heads. As children. As teenagers. As adults. Had they been deceived into doing what they did? Had they been tricked into condemnation?
In a way, yes. But it wasn't as simple as that. They both knew that they had been given a choice. And how quick they had been in the choosing it! They hadn't given it more than a second of thought before they looked up and said (not together, but almost) "Save Ammu." Save us. Save our mother. (302) #Quote by Arundhati Roy
Teenagers quotes by Duffy Robins
#64. the blasé religiosity of most…teenagers is not the result of poor communication but the result of excellent communication of a watered-down gospel so devoid of God's self-giving love in Jesus Christ, so immune to the sending love of the Holy Spirit, that it might not be Christianity at all? What if the church models a way of life that asks not passionate surrender but ho-hum ascent? #Quote by Duffy Robins
Teenagers quotes by Francesca Zappia
#65. People say teenagers think they're immortal, and I agree with that. But I think there's a difference between thinking you're immortal and knowing you can survive. Thinking you're immortal leads to arrogance, thinking you deserve the best. Surviving means having the worst thrown at you and being able to continue on despite that. It means striving for what you want most, even when it seems our of your reach, even when everything is working against you. #Quote by Francesca Zappia
Teenagers quotes by C.L. Gammon
#66. Washington was concerned that the soldiers coming to him from Massachusetts were too few and of too low quality. He was disappointed that the majority of the Massachusetts volunteers appeared to be thrill-seeking teenagers, British Army deserters and otherwise unemployed African Americans. Washington doubted that these volunteers would ever be able to stand up to the British. Much to Washington's surprise, the free black men soon proved to be exemplary soldiers. #Quote by C.L. Gammon
Teenagers quotes by Tyler Dawn Rosenquist
#67. So are we acting like the children of a set apart Creator, or are we acting as though we are the children of a father who left his teenagers home while he went away on a long journey, doing as we see fit in the full eyes of the world who are watching to see if we really are set-apart, or just all talk. They want to see if we hold ourselves to God's standards of what is and is not set apart, clean and unclean, good and bad. They want to see if we are really the Children of the Most High. #Quote by Tyler Dawn Rosenquist
Teenagers quotes by Ned Vizzini
#68. Wherever Cool is, anyway, I missed it, and now I'm stuck observing these machinations or sex and status and dancing and parties and people sucking at each other under the bleacher seating like some kind of freak, when I'm not the freak; Rich is the freak. Clearly. When I grow up, that had better be understood and I had better be compensated, or I'm going to shoot myself in the head. #Quote by Ned Vizzini
Teenagers quotes by S.E. Hinton
#69. 'The Outsiders' cast in particular was a joy to be around - sweet kids, normal goofy teenagers off camera and serious artists on. They were great. I never got them mixed up with the characters, though. Each of them had his own strong personality. #Quote by S.E. Hinton
Teenagers quotes by George Lopez

Teenagers quotes by L.H. Cosway
#75. I glanced at the man beside me and fell in love even deeper, because he'd flicked the switch. He'd turned on the light bulb in my mind, shown me a new way of thinking just like he did when we were teenagers. Only this time, I didn't hate the world. I didn't see the cracks. I saw all the beautiful, flawed and wonderful parts that held them all together. #Quote by L.H. Cosway
Teenagers quotes by Elizabeth Berg
#76. If I were to draw on a paper what gym does for me, I would make one dot and then I would erase it. #Quote by Elizabeth Berg
Teenagers quotes by Keira D. Skye
#77. His kiss was like no other! His kiss was enchanted and fairy-tale like. He applied pressure, but just enough to feel his tenderness and warmth. I could feel his heart beating wildly as he pressed his chest against my chest all the while his loving lips brushed up against mine with a care-filled affection. His tongue lightly licked the outer edges of my mouth, and then searched for my tongue. The pursuit allowed a marriage of both tongues to meet - inspiring a mingling tango of hot and heavy French kissing to manifest profusely. We kissed like two hot and horny teenagers, our mouths moving and craving each others lips, in animalistic desires! #Quote by Keira D. Skye
Teenagers quotes by Jorgen Vig Knudstorp
#78. I think it's becoming very acceptable for adults and teenagers to be playful lifelong. You know, it's very acceptable to be a video gamer and be 35 years old. It's acceptable to be a Lego adult fan and build amazing things, even though you're 40 or 25 years old. #Quote by Jorgen Vig Knudstorp
Teenagers quotes by Malorie Blackman

Teenagers quotes by Dave McPherson
#86. Yeah it's completely different, it's matured tenfold. We wrote the first album over five years as teenagers but now we've got the opportunity to do InMe full-time. We've got closer together, we've got a better connection. #Quote by Dave McPherson

#87. Sex is an open secret parents try to hide to their children #Quote by Bangambiki Habyarimana
Teenagers quotes by Rachel Hawkins
#88. I watched the light flicker on the limestone walls until Archer said, "I wish we could go to the movies."
I stared at him. "We're in a creepy dungeon. There's a chance I might die in the next few hours. You are going to die in the next few hours. And if you had one wish, it would be to catch a movie?"
He shook his head. "That's not what I meant. I wish we weren't like this. You know, demon, demon-hunter. I wish I'd met you in a normal high school, and taken you on normal dates, and like, carried your books or something." Glancing over at me, he squinted and asked, "Is that a thing humans actually do?"
"Not outside of 1950s TV shows," I told him, reaching up to touch his hair. He wrapped an arm around me and leaned against the wall, pulling me to his chest. I drew my legs up under me and rested my cheek on his collarbone. "So instead of stomping around forests hunting ghouls, you want to go to the movies and school dances."
"Well, maybe we could go on the occasional ghoul hunt," he allowed before pressing a kiss to my temple. "Keep things interesting."
I closed my eyes. "What else would we do if we were regular teenagers?"
"Hmm...let's see.Well, first of all, I'd need to get some kind of job so I could afford to take you on these completely normal dates. Maybe I could stock groceries somewhere."
The image of Archer in a blue apron, putting boxes of Nilla Wafers on a shelf at Walmart was too bizarre to even contemplate, but I went along with it. #Quote by Rachel Hawkins

Teenagers quotes by Jay Asher
#90. Justin, honey, you were my very first kiss. My very first hand to hold. But you were nothing more than an average guy. And I don't say that to be mean- I don't. But it was there.. and it was amazingly strong. -Thirteen Reasons Why #Quote by Jay Asher

Teenagers quotes by Ann Romney
#93. I know what it's like to finish the laundry and to look in the basket five minutes later and it's full again. I know what it's like to pull all the groceries in, and see the teenagers run through, and all of a sudden, all of the groceries you just bought a few hours ago are gone. #Quote by Ann Romney
Teenagers quotes by P.S. Baber
#94. The young of the town, preoccupied with their own germinating angst, which each possessed in varying degree (though few were ever fully aware of its existence), felt no particular connection to the land, its people, its structures, or its history. As such, they had no inclination to defend its invisible borders from declared enemies within or without. They desired only escape from this small village, which each viewed as an existential prison built upon the antiquated expectations of their parents and their parents' parents. And because of their invisible bondage, the young of this town were possessed by a quiet rage. But this rage laid torpid and inert within them, dulled to sleep by the tired repetition of nothing happening over and over and over again, day after day after day.
This is the story of one of those young people, and the terrible things that happened to her, and the terrible things she did as a result. #Quote by P.S. Baber
Teenagers quotes by Dennis Etchison
#95. Halloween was banned in Haddonfield and I think that the basic idea was that if you tried to suppress something, it would only rear its head more strongly. By the very [attempt] of trying to erase the memory of Michael Myers, [the teenagers] were going to ironically bring him back into existence. #Quote by Dennis Etchison
Teenagers quotes by Melody Carlson
#96. Shut off the internal bashing. #Quote by Melody Carlson
Teenagers quotes by Jenny Han
#97. You're teenagers. Life doesn't always work out the way you think it's going to work out... #Quote by Jenny Han
Teenagers quotes by Jarod Kintz
#98. I've often wondered why more science textbooks don't tell teenagers that the only thing sharks like to eat more than fish, are dead prostitutes. #Quote by Jarod Kintz
Teenagers quotes by Khaled Hosseini
#99. They rarely look at Baba
the teenagers
and then only with cold indifference, or even subtle disdain, as if my father should have known better than to allow old age and decay to happen to him. #Quote by Khaled Hosseini
Teenagers quotes by Elizabeth Peters
#100. But he was a perfect gentleman, Aunt Amelia. He did not even try to kiss me, though he wanted to ... You always tell me I must be receptive to broadening experiences. That would have been a broadening experience. And, from what I have observed, a very enjoyable one. #Quote by Elizabeth Peters
Teenagers quotes by Soraya Chemaly
#101. Boys who grow up seeing themselves everywhere as powerful and central just by virtue of being boys, often white, are critically impaired in many ways. It's a rude shock to many when things don't turn out the way they were told they should. It seems reasonable to suggest media misrepresentations like these contribute, in boys, to a heightened inability to empathize with others, a greater propensity to peg ambition to intrinsic qualities instead of effort and a failure to understand why rules apply or why accountability is a thing. It should mean something to parents that the teenagers with the highest likelihood of sexually assaulting a peer and feel no responsibility for their actions are young white boys from higher-income families. The real boy crisis we should be talking about is entitlement and outdated notions of masculinity, both of which are persistently responsible for leaving boys confused and unprepared for contemporary adulthood. #Quote by Soraya Chemaly
Teenagers quotes by James S. Coleman
#102. It is clear from all these data that the interests of teenagers are not focused around studies, and that scholastic achievement is at most of minor importance in giving status or prestige to an adolescent in the eyes of other adolescents. #Quote by James S. Coleman
Teenagers quotes by Suzanne Selfors
#103. I don't know what laws of physics are involved, but if you fill a gym with teenagers
and tell them to stare at one object, heat is actually produced. I half expected to
spontaneously combust.
Katrina #Quote by Suzanne Selfors
Teenagers quotes by Kathleen Norris
#104. When I see teenagers out in public with their families, holding back, refusing to walk with mom and dad, ashamed to be seen as part of a family, I have to admit that I have acted that way myself, at times, with regard to my Christian inheritance. A hapless and mortally embarrassed adolescent lurked behind the sophisticated mask I wrote in my twenties: faith was something for little kids and grandmas, not me. #Quote by Kathleen Norris
Teenagers quotes by Leigh Bardugo
#105. Perhaps you should put me down?" suggested Nina.
Reality crashed in on Matthias - the guards' knowing looks, Zoya and Genya in the doorway, and the fact that in the course of kissing Nina Zenik with a year's worth of pent-up desire, he had lifted her clear off her feet.
A tide of embarrassment flooded through him. What Fjerdan did such a thing? Gently, he released his hold on her magnificent thighs and let her slide to the ground.
"Shameless ," Nina whispered, and he felt his cheeks go red.
Zoya rolled her eyes. "We're making a deal with a pair of love-struck teenagers. #Quote by Leigh Bardugo
Teenagers quotes by Thomas Perez
#106. When we talk about the kind of folks whose lives will be made better by raising the minimum wage, we're not talking about a couple teenagers earning extra spending money to supplement their allowance. We're talking about providers and breadwinners. Working Americans with bills to pay and mouths to feed. #Quote by Thomas Perez
Teenagers quotes by Flynn Meaney
#107. Let me give you some advice here: People who want to have the sex talk with you will act the same way as people who want to murder you. First they get you in their car, so they're in control and you can't escape. Then they drive you someplace in the middle of nowhere. #Quote by Flynn Meaney
Teenagers quotes by Martha Bolton
#108. So why aren't more marketing companies targeting our age group? Why are there so many youth-oriented programs and advertisements on television today? Why are we being ignored? Don't companies realize they are missing a huge market?

Now granted, a visit to the local mall will show you there are a lot of teenagers hanging out there these days. But are they shopping? Are they spending money? No. They're "hanging." Contrary to what our skin might be doing, we members of the over-forty crowd don't "hang." We shop, and not just window shop either. We're serious buyers. When we pick up an item and turn it over to see the price, we often carry it right on over to the checkout counter and pay for it. Why? Because we know the energy involved with picking up items. We don't do it unless we're committed. #Quote by Martha Bolton
Teenagers quotes by Alexandra Adornetto
#109. Teenagers have a natural curiosity and are keen to clock up experiences. What they need to be wary of is that some experiences may erode their sense of self and lead to a fragmentation of morals. #Quote by Alexandra Adornetto

#111. Young, new moms need coffee to survive. Older moms with teenagers need cocktails. #Quote by Sandra Lake
Teenagers quotes by Marilyn Monroe
#112. Sometimes, wearing a scarf and a polo coat and no makeup and with a certain attitude of walking, I go shopping or just look at people living. But then, you know, there will be a few teenagers who are kind of sharp, and they'll say, 'Hey, just a minute. You know who I think that is?' And they'll start tailing me. And I don't mind. #Quote by Marilyn Monroe
Teenagers quotes by Clayton Christensen
#113. The parents of teenagers would love to have a car that won't go very far or go very fast. They could just cruise around the neighborhood, drive it to school, see their friends, plug it in overnight. #Quote by Clayton Christensen
Teenagers quotes by Amber Kell
#114. My darling goddaughter, Olivia, was the little girl of my friends, Max and Jeff. She was turning four, and it was time to transition her from her shortened toddler bed to a full-size big girl bed. It would be the bed where she'd have her childhood dreams and her teenage angst. I wanted it strong enough to tolerate her little girl bouncing and her teenage flouncing.
It had to be perfect. #Quote by Amber Kell
Teenagers quotes by Gena Showalter
#115. I'm not trying to - What do teenagers say nowadays?" he asked my grandmother."Get all up in her biznez," Nana said.Without cracking a smile."That's right," he replied. "We're not trying to get all up in your biznez, Ali. #Quote by Gena Showalter
Teenagers quotes by Meg Wolitzer
#116. You want to know whether the problems that you teenagers feel - will they follow you over the rest of your lives? Will your hearts always be aching? Is that what you are asking me?"
Goodman shifted in discomfort. "Something like that," he said.
"Yes," said the counselor in a suddenly plangent voice. "Always they will be aching. I wish I could tell you something else, but I wouldn't be telling the truth. My wise and gentle friends, this is the way it will be from now on."
No one could say anything. "We are so, so fucked," Jules finally said ... #Quote by Meg Wolitzer
Teenagers quotes by Mindy Kaling
#117. I just want ambitious teenagers to know it is totally fine to be quite, observant kids. Besides being a delight to your parents, you will find you have plenty of time later to catch up. #Quote by Mindy Kaling
Teenagers quotes by C. JoyBell C.
#118. I have lived my life backwards as compared to my peers. Everyone did incredibly stupid things as teenagers and pre-teens. I didn't. I was the one telling everybody that they were incredibly stupid. Now that they are all past that stage and we are all much older - I am the one doing incredibly stupid things. I have figured that I've earned that right, by now! You have to earn the right to be stupid. #Quote by C. JoyBell C.
Teenagers quotes by Brendan Fehr
#119. Just because you have teenagers in a movie doesn't make it a teen movie. #Quote by Brendan Fehr
Teenagers quotes by Jenny Han
#120. As the day heats up, Peter convinces me to put down my French book and jump in the pool with him. The pool is crowded with little kids, no one as old as us. Steve Bledell has a pool at his house, but I wanted to come here, for old times' sake.
"Don't you dare dunk me," I warn. Peter starts circling me like a shark, coming closer and closer. "I'm serious!"
He makes a dive for me and grabs me by the waist, but he doesn't dunk me; he kisses me. His skin is cool and smooth against mine; so are his lips.
I push him away and whisper, "Don't kiss me--there are kids around!"
"So nobody wants to see teenagers kissing in the pool where kids are trying to play. It isn't right." I know I sound like a priss, but I don't care. When I was little, and there were teenagers horsing around in the pool, I always felt nervous to go in, because it was like the pool was theirs.
Peter bursts out laughing. "You're funny, Covey." Swimming sideways, he says, "It isn't right," and then starts laughing again. #Quote by Jenny Han
Teenagers quotes by Robert David Steele
#121. The typical computer network isn't like a house with windows, doors, and locks. It's more like a gauze tent encircled by a band of drunk teenagers with lit matches. #Quote by Robert David Steele
Teenagers quotes by Geoff Mulgan
#122. There are hardly any apprenticeships in care; hardly any schools preparing teenagers for jobs in care; and few signs that politicians know what to do to raise the status and rewards for what will soon be one of our most important industries. #Quote by Geoff Mulgan
Teenagers quotes by Ben Sedley
#123. Being willing to feel my pain isn't another strategy I can use to avoid my pain. It is genuinely accepting that sometimes stuff really sucks. Sometimes life can really hurt. Sometimes this world isn't what I signed up for. Sometimes I still feel like I would do anything not to have these feelings and these thoughts... Willingness to allow suffering to be there is hard. Damn hard. And often frightening too. And the only thing harder is not being willing to allow suffering to be there. #Quote by Ben Sedley
Teenagers quotes by Paul Kalanithi
#124. After I was caught returning at dawn from one such late-night escapade, my worried mother thoroughly interrogated me regarding every drug teenagers take, never suspecting that the most intoxicating thing I'd experienced, by far, was the volume of romantic poetry she'd handed me the previous week. Books became my closest confidants, finely ground lenses providing new views of the world. #Quote by Paul Kalanithi
Teenagers quotes by Yaya Han
#125. It can literally change someone's life; it's very positive for young teenagers to get into cosplay if they do it with their friends or with supervision from their parents - it can really foster their social skills. #Quote by Yaya Han
Teenagers quotes by Hannah Fox
#126. These games inspire laughter, spontaneity, ensemble building, physical and vocal expression, concentration, self-discovery/reflection, self-esteem, and, ultimately, I believe, good health. They get adults, and teenagers too, playing again, which is no small feat. #Quote by Hannah Fox
Teenagers quotes by Alice Oseman
#127. I stopped speaking. There was no point trying to argue. There was no way she was going to even attempt to listen to me.
They never do, do they? They never even try to listen to you. #Quote by Alice Oseman
Teenagers quotes by Elizabeth Scott
#128. I thought you were going to - you're standing under my window. Aren't you supposed to climb up here or something?"

Teenagers quotes by Jason Katims
#130. You're breaking up, you're getting together, you're changing your life, you're arguing with your parents, you're making terrible mistakes, you're having great triumphs. It's what happens to teenagers. #Quote by Jason Katims
Teenagers quotes by Eric Berlin
#131. If teams had to name themselves honestly, they'd all be the Pimple-Faced Teenagers. #Quote by Eric Berlin
Teenagers quotes by Mark Glamack
#132. If you surround yourself with the good and righteous, they can only raise you up. If you surround yourself with the others, they will drag you down into the doldrums of mediocrity, and they will keep you there, but only as long as you permit it. #Quote by Mark Glamack
Teenagers quotes by Sarah Vowell
#133. But the Grateful Dead, as the fanatic fans point out, are a way of life: someone else's. Twentieth-century teenagers, especially American ones, have been brilliant at creating their own culture, their own music, clothes, and point(s) of view. It's sad and fraudulent that the kind of wholesale worship of some historical way of life has settled over so many young people, infecting them like a noxious gas ... I love the dead
grew up in the thrall of Shakespeare and Hank Williams and James Dean. And I adore the Rolling Stones. But there's a difference between cherishing "Satisfaction" and wearing Keith Richards' hair while doing Keith Richards' drugs. I don't want to be Keith Richards. I wanna be me. Not
like the neo-Deadheads
just another extra in an overblown costume drama about something that wasn't that interesting the first time around. #Quote by Sarah Vowell
Teenagers quotes by Anonymous.
#134. Do you know that feeling? When everything you do seems like a struggle. Where you dont wanna leave the house because you know everyone is judging you. Where you cant even ask for directions in fear that they critise you. Where everyone always seems to be picking out your flaws. That feeling where you feel so damn sick for no reason.
Do you know that feeling where you look in the mirror and completly hate what you see. When you grab handfuls and handfuls of fat and just want to cut it all off. That feeling when you see other beautiful girls and just wish you looked like them. When you compare yourself to everyone you meet. When you realise why no one ever showed intrest in you. That feeling where you become so self conscious you dont even turn up at school. That feeling when you feel so disappointed in who you are and everything you have become. That feeling when every bite makes you wanna be sick. When hunger is more satifying that food. The feeling of failure when you eat a meal.
Do you know that feeling when you cant run as far as your class. Fear knowing that everyone thinks of you as the"Unfit FAT BITCH" That feeling when you just wanna let it all out but you dont wanna look weak. The fear you have in class when you dont understand something but your too afraid to ask for help. The feeling of being to ashamed to stand up for yourself.
Do you know the feeling when your deepest fear becomes a reality. Fear that you will NEVER be good enough. When you feel #Quote by Anonymous.
Teenagers quotes by Elisa Nader
#135. Now how do we know you're really from Edenton?" he said.
"And the point of lying would be?" Gabriel asked. "So we could have a complete stranger chauffeur us to another complete stranger's house for proper English tea at," he looked at a clock on the bookshelf, "two in the morning? Mia, he's discovered our nefarious plan."
Edgar rubbed his black shorn hair and squinted at Gabriel "Smartass teenagers. My favorite. #Quote by Elisa Nader
Teenagers quotes by William Ryan
#136. In fact, the teenager's concept of "square" (f the term is still in use), when they talk about their parents, is almost identical to the concept of "cultural deprivation" as it is used by educational bureaucrats. In both cases it reflects an extremely self-centered and rigid way of looking at the world. Fortunately, with teenagers, it's a phase they grow out of. #Quote by William Ryan
Teenagers quotes by Genevieve Cogman
#137. Then the howling started. It was either hellhounds or teenagers, and she suspected the former. #Quote by Genevieve Cogman
Teenagers quotes by Larry Correia
#138. Fish and Wildlife wants to fine us for killing a giant mutant Tennessee River catfish because it was endangered. Sure it had just crawled up on land and eaten some teenagers, but it was still an endangered species. #Quote by Larry Correia
Teenagers quotes by Naomi Watts
#139. Whatever is said about roles drying up, I intend to keep working. Certainly now the roles couldn't be more interesting - playing mothers, divorcees. I think it's going to be exciting to play a mother of teenagers. The longer your life, the deeper it gets. #Quote by Naomi Watts
Teenagers quotes by Sarah Rees Brennan
#140. He did not seem fazed by the shimmer of light in the air, or the two wet teenagers in their underwear shivering behind it. #Quote by Sarah Rees Brennan
Teenagers quotes by Criss Jami
#141. The typical atheist rebels against God as a teenager rebels against his parents. When his own desires or standards are not fulfilled in the way that he sees fit, he, in revolt, storms out of the house in denial of the Word of God and in scrutiny of a great deal of those who stand by the Word of God. The epithet 'Heavenly Father' is a grand reflection, a relation to that of human nature. #Quote by Criss Jami
Teenagers quotes by John Scott
#142. People of this teenager's age are on the brink of adulthood and have to be allowed a greater degree of responsibility. A consequence of this is a decrease in parental responsibility. Therefore to have criminal responsibility for what you don't know about seems rather extreme. #Quote by John Scott
Teenagers quotes by Nina Bawden
#143. But I don't write about sex for today's teenagers. Or Doc Martens boots either. I'm more interested in exploring how exactly the world is run, which doesn't really change that much from one generation to another. #Quote by Nina Bawden
Teenagers quotes by Cecily Von Ziegesar
#144. Back in my days as a children's book editor, my superiors caught on to the fact that teenagers were using the Internet to gossip about each other, and thought it might be nifty to develop a series of books about an anonymous high-school blogger who gossips about her classmates. The concept was passed on to me. #Quote by Cecily Von Ziegesar
Teenagers quotes by David P. Gushee
#145. Make your church a context where parents know that the right response to their teenagers is never to reject them as human beings, never to throw them out. #Quote by David P. Gushee
Teenagers quotes by Greg Giraldo
#146. Everybody thought that Titanic was the most romantic movie ever. A story about two teenagers who knew each other for three days. Try to make that movie with a couple that's been together for a few years. 'Get in the goddamn boat, Rose!' 'I don't wanna get in the boat!' 'Get in, come on, I'm freezing my ass off out here! I wanted to go to Jamaica, but no, we had to go on a cruise in the middle of the winter!' 'You never draw me naked anymore' #Quote by Greg Giraldo
Teenagers quotes by Anne Northup
#147. A large family and Democrats have a lot in common: teenagers and Democrats are always happy spending other people's money. #Quote by Anne Northup
Teenagers quotes by Esther Perel
#148. At the same time, eroticism in the home requires active engagement and willful intent. It is an ongoing resistance to the message that marriage is serious, more work than play; and that passion is for teenagers and the immature. We must unpack our ambivalence about pleasure, and challenge our pervasive discomfort with sexuality, particularly in the context of family. Complaining of sexual boredom is easy and conventional. Nurturing eroticism in the home is an act of open defience. #Quote by Esther Perel
Teenagers quotes by Rubye Armorer
#149. To now is to love, to see is a joy, but to lose is hurtful. #Quote by Rubye Armorer
Teenagers quotes by Jennifer Rardin
#150. Now, here's what we do. You and I will find a back way out of this place. If we come across someone else, we make like a couple of lovesick teenagers. People generally hurry past heavy breathers. I get you to the parking lot, you vanish. Got it?"
He nodded. "There's just one thing I've got to do before we go," he said. Before I could inquire, he grabbed me and planted a kiss square on my mouth. It was short but fiery, despite the grape flavoring, and when he let me go I wan panting.
Holy crap!"
He smiled, not at all apologetically, and said, "I've wanted to do that ever since I saw my first Bond movie. #Quote by Jennifer Rardin
Teenagers quotes by Charles Portis
#151. You are a pearl of great price to me, but there are times when you are an almighty trial to those who love you. #Quote by Charles Portis
Teenagers quotes by Rachel Reiland
#152. One of the reasons teenagers rebel is to test the limits to make sure they are still there. But for you it was particularly difficult. And something you never really got over. #Quote by Rachel Reiland
Teenagers quotes by Jeff Allen
#153. I believe teenagers are God's revenge on mankind. It's like He said, 'Hey let's see how they like it to create something in their own image that denies their existence.' #Quote by Jeff Allen
Teenagers quotes by Miley Cyrus
#154. Some people think you have more privileges than other teenagers because of what you do, and that's not it at all. It's actually the opposite #Quote by Miley Cyrus
Teenagers quotes by Jojo Moyes
#155. Nobody ever feels they're doing well with teenagers,' he said. 'I think that's kind of the point of them. #Quote by Jojo Moyes
Teenagers quotes by Pete Townshend
#156. Some kid writes to me and says, 'I've got all your records and I listen to your music all day long and I look at your pictures all the time and I write to you and all I get is a bleeding autographed picture. You don't know how much time I spend thinking about you.' I write back to him and say, 'You don't know how much time I spend thinking about teenagers. #Quote by Pete Townshend
Teenagers quotes by Emily Franklin
#157. he can see alice in wet leaves, first as kids, when they'd jump in them, then as teenagers, when she would lie on the cold ground and he'd cover her with red, orange, and yellow fallen leaves and he would wait for her, wait for her with his heart racing, hoping he hadn't covered her up so much she couldn't jump up, bringing them both to action. #Quote by Emily Franklin
Teenagers quotes by Foz Meadows
#158. Never having experienced inequality, therefore, the majority of straight white men will be absolutely oblivious to their own advantages – not because they must necessarily be insensitive, sexist, racist, homophobic or unaware of the principles of equality; but because they have been told, over and over again, that there is no inequality left for them – or anyone else – to experience – and everything they have experienced up to that point will only have proved them right.

Let the impact of that sink in for a moment.

By teaching children and teenagers that equality already exists, we are actively blinding the group that most benefits from inequality – straight white men – to the prospect that it doesn't. Privilege to them feels indistinguishable from equality, because they've been raised to believe that this is how the world behaves for everyone. And because the majority of our popular culture is straight-white-male-dominated, stories that should be windows into empathy for other, less privileged experiences have instead become mirrors, reflecting back at them the one thing they already know: that their lives both are important and free from discrimination.

And this hurts men. It hurts them by making them unconsciously perpetrate biases they've been actively taught to despise. It hurts them by making them complicit in the distress of others. It hurts them by shoehorning them into a restrictive definition masculinity from which any and all deviat #Quote by Foz Meadows
Teenagers quotes by William Landay
#159. The interior of a teenager's mind is an endless war between Stupid and Clever. #Quote by William Landay
Teenagers quotes by Kaya Scodelario
#160. I felt there needed to be a show for teenagers that didn't make them feel judged. 'Skins' never tried to preach. It allowed young people to make their own decisions about what to do and whether it was right or wrong. Young people really respond to that, and that's what sets 'Skins' apart. #Quote by Kaya Scodelario
Teenagers quotes by Anthony Doerr
#161. For lunches he rode the elevator to the fourth-floor food court and ate Thai Town or Subway at a table tucked among potted tropicals, gazing past milling teenagers to the little penny-choked fountain where a copper salmon spat water into a chlorinated pool. #Quote by Anthony Doerr
Teenagers quotes by David Bowie
#162. And these children

They're quite aware

Teenagers quotes by Ruben Hinojosa
#163. Our record number of teenagers must become our record number of high school and college graduates and our record number of teachers, scientists, doctors, lawyers, and skilled professionals. #Quote by Ruben Hinojosa
Teenagers quotes by Derek Landy
#164. The Doctor put his finger to his lips and Martha nodded and followed him as quietly as she could. Wet leaves squelched under her feet. There was movement up ahead: two teenagers, a pale boy and a nervous girl, walked into a clearing. The sun broke through the clouds and the boy started to sparkle.
Martha felt the Doctor's eyes on her and she blushed. 'Do not judge me.'
'Judging is for later,' he said, and they continued on, giving the young lovers a wide berth. #Quote by Derek Landy
Teenagers quotes by Mariko Nagai
#165. When the Germans surrendered with their arms raised high, holding a white flag, they weren't at all how i imagined them: hard, cruel, tall and monstrous with cigars chomped between their lips talking about how they wanted to shoot babies and old people. Instead they were boys like us, teenagers, tired, scared, dirty, and looking almost relieved that their was over, for now, that they can rest their bone-tired bodies in the POW camps. #Quote by Mariko Nagai
Teenagers quotes by Hannah Johnson
#166. Hey, Arthur?"

"Thank you for turning into a lunatic that one time, chasing a bunch of shoplifting teenagers through a rainstorm, and coming back to kiss me in the fake flower aisle at random. In retrospect, I really appreciate it."

"You're welcome," he says fondly. #Quote by Hannah Johnson
Teenagers quotes by Molly Harper
#167. I don't think I like that boy." He growled, glaring for effect, just in case I hadn't figured out his oh-so-subtle interpersonal cues.
"He's a sweet kid," I insisted, folding the gray blazer over my arm.
"He's a teenage boy," Cal said, his dark eyes narrowed. "They're all sexual deviants under the surface. I should know. I was a teenage boy once."
"Thousands of years ago," I countered.
"Times may change, but testosterone does not. #Quote by Molly Harper
Teenagers quotes by Green Day
#168. [I]t is something that comes up as a struggle in me. It especially came up when I was about 16 or 17. In high school people think you have to be so macho. People get attacked just because someone insinuates something about their sexuality. I think that's gruesome. #Quote by Green Day
Teenagers quotes by A&E Kirk
#169. Mrs. Ishida muttered, "Typical teenagers."
"Think they can take on the world," Mr. Ishida agreed.
"We did." Tristan's grandparents high fived. "And we won."
"You blew up the entire - "
"Mom, let it go." Logan shuffled his feet. Blake's uncle laughed.
"She's just still mad about - " He caught the pint-sized brunette's scathing look,
" - the thing that I agreed to never talk about. Ever."

Teenagers quotes by Roger Ebert
#170. Teenagers used to go to the movies to see adults having sex. Today adults go to the movies to see teenagers having sex. #Quote by Roger Ebert
Teenagers quotes by Ali Smith
#171. It's probably the closest thing resembling research I ever do (except for this last book, which took more traditional research) - listen to speech patterns. They're everywhere, on the train, in the street, in the shops, on TV, wherever you are. And yes, everyone's speech pattern changes depending on where and to whom they're talking. Ears open. Literally. (which is the word said about sixty times in five minutes by a group of teenagers sitting further up the train from me on my way here). #Quote by Ali Smith
Teenagers quotes by Tamora Pierce
#172. We live in a dark time. Books are as dark as what is available to teenagers through the media every day. #Quote by Tamora Pierce
Teenagers quotes by Vladimir Lenin
#173. If we can effectively kill the national pride and patriotism of just one generation, we will have won that country. Therefore, there must be continued propaganda abroad to undermine the loyalty of citizens in general, and teenagers in particular. By making drugs of various kinds readily available, by creating the necessary attitude of chaos, idleness and worthlessness, and by preparing him psychologically and politically, we can succeed. #Quote by Vladimir Lenin
Teenagers quotes by Nadria Tucker
#174. What's the biggest problem facing teenagers today? Ourselves. We're a generation of lazy underachievers who need to learn that hard work pays off. What's your town known for? Cow manure! Hold for laughs... Actually Irondale is the setting of Fannie Flagg's famous novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café. Why'd you enter the Junior Miss Birmingham pageant? Spurred by the unlimited texting plans offered by carriers like AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless, American teenagers sent and received an average of 2,272 text messages per month in the fourth quarter of 2008, according to the Nielsen Company - almost 80 messages a day, more than double the average of a year earlier. #Quote by Katie Hafner
Teenagers quotes by Victoria Hanley
#179. 'Seize the Story' takes readers all the way through the process of writing fiction, from beginning to end. Every element, from dialogue to setting, plotting to character creation, is laid out and illustrated with examples. But the tone of the book is not that of a dry writing manual - it's definitely written for teenagers. #Quote by Victoria Hanley

Teenagers quotes by Frank McCourt
#181. Fear? That's it, Francis. The little slum boy still fears loss of job. Fears he'll be cast into the outer darkness and deafened by the weeping, the wailing, the gnashing. Brave, imaginative teacher encourages teenagers to sing recipes but wonders when the axe will fall, when Japanese visitors will shake their heads and report him to Washington. Japanese visitors will instantly detect in my classroom signs of America's degeneracy and wonder how they could have lost the war. And #Quote by Frank McCourt
Teenagers quotes by Pamela Nicole
#182. We won't be able to choose who we'll have to talk to in order to keep advancing in life. We won't always like them, and they will most likely not like us back either, so it's wrong to confine ourselves in our own little worlds when there's plenty of it outside to explore. #Quote by Pamela Nicole

Teenagers quotes by Jeremy Scahill
#186. Three weeks after he climbed out the kitchen window, the boy was outdoors with his cousins - teenagers like him - laying a picnic for dinner beneath the stars. It was then he would have heard the drones approaching, followed by the whiz of the missiles. It was a direct hit. The boy and his cousins were blown to pieces. All that remained of the boy was the back of his head, his flowing hair still clinging to it. The boy had turned sixteen years old a few weeks earlier and now he had been killed by his own government. He was the third US citizen to be killed in operations authorized by the president in two weeks. The first was his father #Quote by Jeremy Scahill

Teenagers quotes by College Of St. Catherine Staff
#188. It's quite a breathtaking analysis of power that, if nothing else, gives a new spin on Disney movies that have their motherless heroines married off asw teenagers to beasts and strangers and call this a happy ending, while their heroes light off for the territories, love their dogs, have adventures and seldom marry. (91) #Quote by College Of St. Catherine Staff
Teenagers quotes by Christy A. Campbell
#189. He wishes he could remember everything. Anything. He doesn't sense a bone in his body that can feel compassion or worthiness. Self-pity hides away as well, the lowest form of emotion not even capable of resting in his wrecked mind. #Quote by Christy A. Campbell

Teenagers quotes by Alice Oseman
#191. Most adults see teenagers as confused kids who don't understand much, while they're the pillars of knowledge and experience and know exactly what is right at all times.

Teenagers quotes by Jonathan Safran Foer
#200. From space, astronauts can see people making love as a tiny speck of light. Not light, exactly, but a glow that could be mistaken for light--a coital radiance that takes generations to pour like honey through the darkness to the astronaut's eyes.

In about one and a half centuries--after the lovers who made the glow will have long been laid permanently on their backs--metropolises will be seen from space. They will glow all year. Smaller cities will also be seen, but with great difficulty. Shtetls will be virtually impossible to spot. Individual couples, invisible.

The glow is born from the sum of thousands of loves: newlyweds and teenagers who spark like lighters out of butane, pairs of men who burn fast and bright, pairs of women who illuminate for hours with soft multiple glows, orgies like rock and flint toys sold at festivals, couples trying unsuccessfully to have children who burn their frustrated image on the continent like the bloom a bright light leaves on the eye after you turn away from it.

Some nights, some places are a little brighter. It's difficult to stare at New York City on Valentine's Day, or Dublin on St. Patrick's. The old walled city of Jerusalem lights up like a candle on each of Chanukah's eight nights...We're here, the glow...will say in one and a half centuries. We're here, and we're alive. #Quote by Jonathan Safran Foer
