#1. We pardon infidelities, but we do not forget them. #Quote by Madame De La Fayette
Menea La quotes by Ralph De La Vega
#2. I believe the American dream is still alive and that education and entrepreneurship together are its key enablers. Through the years I have observed the power of this combination when the two forces work in tandem. Together they lead to personal success, business success, and societal success. #Quote by Ralph De La Vega
Menea La quotes by Melissa De La Cruz
#3. Because love was not the answer to every question. Because real love meant sacrifice. Sometimes love means letting go. #Quote by Melissa De La Cruz
Menea La quotes by Daniel G. Campos
#4. What emerged for me as purpose was the search for and cultivation of possibilities for experiencing meaningful human transactions in different languages and across cultural differences through play, sports, travel, food, literature, and conversation. I sought to establish relations of mutual understanding and love with people no matter what their culture or place of origin in the world - relations based on philia, eros, and agape, according to context and persons. I perhaps sensed instinctively that such relations were the key to being equally at home everywhere, even in la Yunai. More than an immigrant, at that time I still felt myself to be a sojourner in this country, but I wanted my sojourn to be imbued with the meaning found in earnest, sincere connections with the people and places that life brought to my experience. #Quote by Daniel G. Campos
Menea La quotes by Melissa De La Cruz
#5. She was very special to me. But I think I'm going to have to get back ... so I can. God. So I can kill her. -Dylan #Quote by Melissa De La Cruz
Menea La quotes by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
#6. Humility is the worst form of conceit. #Quote by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
Menea La quotes by Francois De La Rochefoucauld

Menea La quotes by Red Ochre Press
#8. Julian presented the food. A fillet of sea bass with perfect griddle marks and a scattering of fennel picked from a nearby hedgerow. There were caramelized carrots, baby la ratte potatoes and a garnish of roasted tomatoes that had made a brief appearance in a painting that afternoon. #Quote by Red Ochre Press
Menea La quotes by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer
#9. Sobre la falda tenia
el libro abierto;
en mi mejilla tocaban
sus rizos negros;
no veiamos las letras
ninguno, creo;
mas guardabamos entrambos
hondo silencio.
Cuanto duro? Ni aun entonces
pude saberlo;
solo se que no se oia
mas que el aliento,
que apresurado escapaba
del labio seco.
Solo se que nos volvimos
los dos a un tiempo,
y nuestros ojos se hallaron,
y sono un beso.

Creacion de Dante era el libro,
era su Infierno.
Cuando a el bajamos los ojos,
yo dije, tremulo:
Comprendes ya que un poema
cabe en un verso?"
Y ella respondio, encendida:
Ya lo comprendo!"

On her skirt she had
an open book
on my cheek
her black locks of hair
we didn't see the letters
any of them, I think
though we kept between us
a deep silence

How much did it last? Not even then
I could know
I only know that I couldn't hear
anything more than her breath
that fastly went out
of her dry lips

I only know that we both
turned our sight at same time
and our eyes met the other
and a kiss was heard

The creation of Dante was the book
it was its Inferno
when we both turned down the eyes to it
I said, trembling:
'Do you already understand that a poem
fits in a verse?'
And she answered lightened up:
I understand! #Quote by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer
Menea La quotes by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
#10. We are eager to believe that others are flawed because we are eager to believe in what we wish for. #Quote by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
Menea La quotes by San Juan De La Cruz
#11. The will's operation is quite distinct from the will's feeling: By its operation, which is love, the will is united with God and terminates in him, and not by the feeling and gratification of its appetite that remains in the soul and goes no further. The feelings only serve as stimulants to love, if the will desires to pass beyond them; and they serve for no more. Thus the delightful feelings do not of themselves lead the soul to God, but rather cause it to become attached to delightful feelings. But the operation of the will, which is the love of God, concentrates the affection, joy, plea sure, satisfaction, and love of the soul only on God, leaving aside all things and loving him above them all. #Quote by San Juan De La Cruz
Menea La quotes by Jean De La Fontaine
#12. We heed no instincts but our own. #Quote by Jean De La Fontaine
Menea La quotes by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
#13. Constancy in love is a perpetual inconstancy which fixes our hearts successively to all the qualities of the person loved
sometimes admiring one and sometimes another above all the rest
so that this constancy roves as far as it can, and is no better than inconstancy, confined within the compass of one person. #Quote by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
Menea La quotes by Jean De La Bruyere
#14. Banter is often a proof of want of intelligence. #Quote by Jean De La Bruyere

Menea La quotes by Karan Bajaj
#17. The moment you enter Bhutan, you notice that there are no traffic lights. It is almost like you've stepped into a Shangri-La or a vortex of time 200 years ago. Those kinds of experiences are very much of the countryside of Bhutan, where people are truly happy in the sense of not creating and wanting more. #Quote by Karan Bajaj
Menea La quotes by Jeanne Marie Bouvier De La Motte Guyon
#18. Whatever truth you have chosen, read only a small portion of it, endeavouring to taste and digest it, to extract the essence and substance thereof, and proceed no farther while any savour or relish remains in the passage: when this subsides, pick up your book again and proceed as before, seldom reading more than half a page at a time, for it is not the quantity that is read, but the manner of reading, that yields us profit. #Quote by Jeanne Marie Bouvier De La Motte Guyon

Menea La quotes by Neil Young
#22. One of my favorite album covers is On the Beach. Of course that was the name of a movie and I stole it for my record, but that doesn't matter. The idea for that cover came like a bolt from the blue. Gary and I traveled around getting all the pieces to put it together. We went to a junkyard in Santa Ana to get the tail fin and fender from a 1959 Cadillac, complete with taillights, and watched them cut it off a Cadillac for us, then we went to a patio supply place to get the umbrella and table. We picke up the bad polyester yellow jacket and white pants at a sleazy men's shop, where we watched a shoplifter getting caught red-handed and busted. Gary and I were stoned on some dynamite weed and stood there dumbfounded watching the bust unfold. This girl was screaming and kicking! Finally we grabbed a local LA paper to use as a prop. It had this amazing headline: Sen. Buckley Calls For Nixon to Resign. Next we took the palm tree I had taken around the world on the Tonight's the Night tour. We then placed all of these pieces carefully in the sand at Santa Monica beach. Then we shot it. Bob Seidemann was the photographer, the same one who took the famous Blind Faith cover shot of the naked young girl holding the airplane. We used the crazy pattern from the umbrella insides for the inside of the sleeve that held the vinyl recording. That was the creative process at work. We lived for that, Gary and I, and we still do. #Quote by Neil Young
Menea La quotes by Juan Jose Millas
#23. We are all living in some sort of a hell, Elena, all of us, but we don't make someone pay the price for our deeds, do you know why? because everyone of us chooses his own hell, the one that makes him most comfortable. #Quote by Juan Jose Millas
Menea La quotes by Ellen N. La Motte

Menea La quotes by Fred Armisen
#25. There are bands that I am friends with, who will invite me up on stage. Like Les Savy Fav, who have had me on stage, and I have played on their record. There are a couple of bands like that. Yo La Tango has invited me to play with them. #Quote by Fred Armisen
Menea La quotes by Jonas Mekas
#26. So what? Don't we have enough ugliness already? And don't we know these things already? Why always fight ugliness with ugliness, stupidity wit stupidity, displaying still more and more of it? Why not create something beautiful to fight the ugliness with? Not that I am for escapism (although there is nothing wrong with it). René Clair was not an escapist in A Nous la Liberté. And Chaplin never was. No poet ever is. Neither are tulips, willow trees, Louise Brooks, or cranes. But they fight ugliness just by being there, by emanating beauty, peace, truth. #Quote by Jonas Mekas
Menea La quotes by Francois De La Rochefoucauld
#27. Before we passionately desire a thing, we should examine the happiness of its possessor. #Quote by Francois De La Rochefoucauld

Menea La quotes by Jean De La Bruyere
#30. I call those men worldly, earthly, or coarse, whose hearts and minds are wholly fixed on this earth, that small part of the universe they are placed in ; who value and love nothing beyond it ; whose minds are as cramped as that narrow spot of ground they call their estate, of which the extent is measured, the acres are numbered, and the limits well known. #Quote by Jean De La Bruyere
Menea La quotes by Melissa De La Cruz
#31. It was so nice just to live in the moment, to enjoy holding him so closely, to pretend for a little while that they were merely two young people in love and nothing else. #Quote by Melissa De La Cruz
Menea La quotes by Nick Kroll
#32. I was going to have Brian La Croix do a cameo on Degrassi. But, unfortunately, the scheduling didn't work out. When I was in Toronto, they weren't shooting. To me, that would've been a pretty crazy meta experience. #Quote by Nick Kroll
Menea La quotes by Ree Drummond
#33. But I was stuck--stuck in a delicious, glorious, beautiful, inescapable La Brea tar pit of romance with a rough, rugged, impossibly tender cowboy. As soon as I'd have any thoughts of escaping to Chicago to avoid my parents' problems, within seconds I'd shoot myself down. Something major would have to happen to pry me out of his arms.
Marlboro Man filled my daydreams, filled my thoughts, my time, my heart, my mind. When I was with him, I was able to forget about my parents' marital problems. On our drives together, preparing our dinners, watching our VHS action movies, all of those unhappy things disappeared from view. This became a crutch for me, an addictive drug of escape. Ten seconds in Marlboro Man's pickup, and I saw only goodness and light. And the occasional bra-and-panty-wearing grandma mowing her yard. #Quote by Ree Drummond
Menea La quotes by Moby
#34. LA is such a crumbling mess of a city. Basically in all my years of travelling, I haven't found another city in the western world that interest me as much as Los Angeles - which might sound like heresy, but most cities, history has already happened and the people living there are sort of living on the bones of the thousand years of history that's already happened there. Whereas LA is always reinventing itself. #Quote by Moby
Menea La quotes by Juana Ines De La Cruz
#35. Who has forbidden women to engage in private and individual studies? Have they not a rational soul as men do? ... I have this inclination to study and if it is evil I am not the one who formed me thus - I was born with it and with it I shall die. #Quote by Juana Ines De La Cruz
