Lines quotes by Bill Nighy
#1. I quoted David Hare one of his lines the other day to illuminate whatever point we were trying to make in the conversation, and I said 'What play was that?' and he said 'It was your line, you said it about a hundred and fifty times in The Vertical Hour.' #Quote by Bill Nighy
Lines quotes by Dolores Huerta
#2. The thing about nonviolence is that it spreads. When you get people to participate in nonviolent action - whether it's a fast, a march, a boycott, or a picket line - people hear you, people see you, people are learning from that action. #Quote by Dolores Huerta
Lines quotes by Eddie Gibbs
#3. Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. Church planting needs to be given priority by old-line denominations. #Quote by Eddie Gibbs
Lines quotes by Swami Vivekananda

Lines quotes by Kurt Student
#5. For fear of dropping the troops in the sea, the pilots tended to drop them too far inland - some of them actually in the British lines. The weapon containers often fell wide of the troops, which was another handicap that contributed to our excessive casualties. #Quote by Kurt Student
Lines quotes by Laura Ingalls Wilder
#6. Oh no, I never do much ironing, except the outside clothes. We must not iron out the fresh air and sunshine, you know. It is much more healthful not to, the doctors say. Seriously, there is something very refreshing about sheets and pillow slips just fresh from the line, after being washed and dried in the sun and air. Just try them that way and see if your sleep is not sweeter. #Quote by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Lines quotes by Five Finger Death Punch
#7. In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete
Drawn only to be washed away
For the time that I've been given
I am what I am #Quote by Five Finger Death Punch
Lines quotes by Mary Wibberley
#8. His grey eyes were shadowed, mysterious, and she sensed the power within him, saw the hard lines of his expressive mouth soften momentarily as he murmured:
"What a girl!" His free hand reached out to touch her face, and she could scarcely breathe. "Let me - go," but the last word was lost as his lips came down on hers in a brief hard kiss that held no passion, only insult. Incensed, she tried to push him away and was imprisoned within the circle of his arms instantly Helpless, overpowered, she jerked her head to escape further punishment and he took hold of her hair and held her completely helpless as he kissed her a second time. Harder still, ruthless - only this time something changed. Quite suddenly the kiss no longer hurt her. She found herself melting into a delirious response. found to her horror that she was enjoying it, discovered that the imprisoning arms that held her were not steel bands after all, but were warm and wonderful instead... #Quote by Mary Wibberley
Lines quotes by Paul Martin
#9. Since one never knows what will be the line of advance, it is always most rash to condemn what is not quite in the fashion of the moment. #Quote by Paul Martin
Lines quotes by Veronica Roth
#10. I look around. We are inside the incinerator, which would be completely dark if not for the lines of light glowing in the shape of a small door on the other side. The floor is solid metal in some places and metal grating in others. Everything smells like rotting garbage and fire.
'Don't say I never took you anywhere nice,' Peter says. #Quote by Veronica Roth
Lines quotes by Brian Tracy
#11. If you have a clear goal and a plan to achieve it, your focus is fixed on a set course of action. Instead of becoming sidetracked by distractions and diversions, your time is focused on a straight line from start to finish. #Quote by Brian Tracy
Lines quotes by Barry Sonnenfeld
#12. Will and Tommy Lee are the only actors I've ever worked with where neither of them want to say any lines. #Quote by Barry Sonnenfeld
Lines quotes by Eric S. Raymond
#13. CSV (fields separated by commas, double quotes used to escape commas, no continuation lines) is rarely found under Unix. #Quote by Eric S. Raymond
Lines quotes by Charles Seife
#14. There are many ways to generate numerical falsehoods from data, many ways to create proofiness from even valid meaurements. Causuistry distorts the relationships between two sets of numbers. Randumbness creates patterns where none are to be found. Regression to the moon disguises nonsense in mathematical-looking lines or equations or formulae, making even the silliest ideas seem respectable. Such as the one described by this formula:
Callipygianness=(S+C)x(B+F)/T-V)
Where S is shape, C is circularity, B is bounciness, F ir firmness, T is texture, and V is waist-to-hip ratio. This formula was devised by a team of academic psychologists after many hours of serious research into the female derriere. Yes, indeed. This is supposed to be the formula for the perfect butt.

It fact, it's merely a formula for a perfect ass #Quote by Charles Seife
Lines quotes by Adam Ferrara
#15. In California, the lines on the road are just a suggestion. They're in the left lane with the left indicator on, so naturally it's time to turn right! Are you kidding me? In your Prius? I know, you're saving the Earth by trying to kill the people! #Quote by Adam Ferrara
Lines quotes by G.M.W. Wemyss
#16. I saw a pair of great tits some days ago. (Massingham Major, you are a dirty-minded boy, and if you snigger again, you will do five hundred lines.) The squeaking-wheel song of Parus major is always gladsome, a precursor to interesting scenes at the bird table. On this occasion, however, what hearing and seeing the two greenery-yallery Paridae first called up in me was a memory from last year's early Springtide: an aerial near-collision. A very young squirrel – native red, I am rejoiced to say – was leaping from one tree trunk to another, adjacent, just as a great tit was exploding outwards in flight from the second tree. You never saw a more indignant bird or a more startled squirrel in your life. #Quote by G.M.W. Wemyss
Lines quotes by Abdul Kalam
#17. To line only for some unknown future is superficial. #Quote by Abdul Kalam
Lines quotes by Tina Ferraro
#18. Kate DelVecchio's Six-Point Plan A Hexagon for Hooking Hotties Above are 6 numbered points. Write the names of the potential couple on the center line. Read the questions. For every YES answer, darken the corresponding numbered point with a colored marker. 1: Are both parties unattached and available? 2: Do they have similar interests? 3: Are they on speaking terms? 4: Will they look good together? 5: Do they have a meeting ground outside of school (i.e., work, youth group, mutual friends' homes)? 6: Will their personalities click? Once you have finished answering the questions and coloring the dots, connect all adjacent colored points with lines. When you are finished, examine your diagram. Is it a perfect hexagon for a perfect couple? Flopping #Quote by Tina Ferraro
Lines quotes by Carli Lloyd
#19. Every time I step in between those lines, I'm in the zone. If you get between me and the ball, you might get smashed a couple times. Things happen, plays happen. #Quote by Carli Lloyd
Lines quotes by J.K. Rowling
#20. She should've interviewed Snape," said Harry grimly. "He'd give her the goods on me any day. "Potter has been crossing lines ever since he first arrived at this school ... #Quote by J.K. Rowling
Lines quotes by Asghar Farhadi
#21. I tend to jot down moments, lines, interactions that don't really make any sense. I try and explain these scattered notes to my close friends, and they become more and more logical. I see screenwriting as a bit like a math equation which I have to solve. #Quote by Asghar Farhadi
Lines quotes by Sher Valenzuela
#22. It doesn't matter if you have a D, or an I or an R after your name if you have a job - a J-O-B. It really matters to people that they have an opportunity to contribute to their economy in a very meaningful way, and this is outside party lines. So we believe that these are the solutions that America is craving. #Quote by Sher Valenzuela
Lines quotes by Jennifer L. Armentrout
#23. Daemon was sprawled on his back, one arm stretched across the space beside him and the other rested across his bare stomach. Sheets were twisted around his narrow hips. His face was almost angelic in sleep, chiselled lines softened and lips relaxed. Thick lashes fanned the top of his cheeks. He looked so much younger at rest but, in a weird way, he was even more out of my league. His kind of masculine beauty was otherworldly and intimidating. Something that existed in between the pages of the books I read. Sometimes I had a hard time convincing myself he was real. #Quote by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Lines quotes by Herman Melville
#24. Oh! ye whose dead lie buried beneath the green grass; who standing among flowers can say - here, HERE lies my beloved; ye know not the desolation that broods in bosoms like these. What bitter blanks in those black-bordered marbles which cover no ashes! What despair in those immovable inscriptions! What deadly voids and unbidden infidelities in the lines that seem to gnaw upon all Faith, and refuse resurrections to the beings who have placelessly perished without a grave. As well might those tablets stand in the cave of Elephanta as here. #Quote by Herman Melville
Lines quotes by April Adams
#25. The Hum-bird paused, a long needle sliding out of the hole in its beak. It bent quickly, poking the needle into Scarlett's face. Its head popped back up and then repeated the motion in three more spots on the Jordan's face before hopping to the other side and starting over.

It hopped back and forth a few more times, pausing now and then with its injector, plumping skin and filling the fine lines in Scarlett's face. After examining its works, the needle withdrew and another one protruded, glistening pink in the dimmed light. This time the Hum-bird hopped around, paralyzing any damaging nerve clusters that over time would be bound to cause wrinkles in the skin. #Quote by April Adams
Lines quotes by Warren Buffett
#26. Too often, executive compensation in the U.S. is ridiculously out of line with performance. That won't change, moreover, because the deck is stacked against investors when it comes to the CEO's pay. #Quote by Warren Buffett
Lines quotes by Linda Howard
#27. He didn't believe in miracles. If he'd had any philosophy in life in ran along the lines of the classic shit happens. Usually it was bad shit, sometimes it was good shit, but it was always random shit. You lived your life, & when the run was ended, that was it. Nothing. #Quote by Linda Howard
Lines quotes by Daniel Tosh
#28. It's funny ... you can make fun of AIDS or Haiti, but if you make fun of some starlet in Hollywood's looks? That's like the one thing ... the line you are not to cross. #Quote by Daniel Tosh
Lines quotes by Scott Lynch
#29. Calo had dark liquor-colored skin and hair like an inky slice of night; the tautness of the flesh around his dark eyes was broken only by a fine network of laugh-lines (though anyone who knew the Sanza twins would more readily describe them as smirk-lines). An improbably sharp and hooked nose preceded his good looks like a dagger held at guard position. #Quote by Scott Lynch
Lines quotes by Ricky Gervais
#30. That's what life is, it's the small struggles. You walk down the street for half an hour, you see half an hour of drama. You don't need convoluted plot lines. You don't need long-lost brothers. You don't need it's set on the future; it's set on the moon. #Quote by Ricky Gervais
Lines quotes by John F. Kerry
#31. The big hang-up was George Bush wanted to get life lines, you know, so he could call somebody. #Quote by John F. Kerry
Lines quotes by Christian Bale
#32. There are movies that require fantasy and slightly more fantastical acting. Lines that are good for certain movies, in real life circumstances, would be absolutely unbelievable things to really say, and you would look at these people like they're freaks for conversing that way. But somehow for certain styles of movies, it works, and it seems fine. #Quote by Christian Bale
Lines quotes by John Andreas Widtsoe
#33. The line of communication between God and man is always open unless broken by man himself. We are, as it were, always in the presence of our Father in Heaven. Through His Holy Spirit, God is with us always and everywhere. #Quote by John Andreas Widtsoe
Lines quotes by George Washington
#34. The wishes of the people, seldom founded in deep disquisitions, or resulting from other reasonings than their present feelings, may not entirely accord with our true policy and interest. If they do not, to observe a proper line of conduct for promoting the one, and avoiding offence to the other, will be a work of great difficulty. #Quote by George Washington
Lines quotes by Amy Bloom
#35. Boundaries are the lines we draw that mark off our autonomy and that of other people, that protect our privacy and that of others. Boundaries allow for intimate connection without dissolving or losing one's sense of self. #Quote by Amy Bloom
Lines quotes by Charles Dance
#36. Because [writers] Dan Weiss and David Benioff have done such a great job in adapting them, that's what we work with. It serves no purpose to anybody for actors to come onto a set with a well-thumbed copy of the source material and start querying why this or that line has been left out of the script. It's probably been left out for a good reason. #Quote by Charles Dance
Lines quotes by Laurie Foos
#37. I've always gone with Kafka's model of establishing the world from the first line, as in Kafka's famous line from Metamorphosis, "Gregor Samsa woke up from uneasy dreams to find himself transformed into a gigantic insect" (or beetle or cockroach, depending on the translation). I have to have that first line before I can go further. #Quote by Laurie Foos
Lines quotes by Rachel Caine
#38. Claire, I-Look, my life is one long series of screw-ups and bad decisions, and I know that. I own that. But you ... I just want you to be happy. And it cuts me when you're not."
"I'm happy with you."
She heard the smile in his voice this time. "So what do you really want? A storybook life in Vampireville, with your life on the line every day and a half?"
"I'm considering it," she said. And she was. #Quote by Rachel Caine
Lines quotes by Diane Cilento
#39. I was a hard worker, and I always knew my lines. #Quote by Diane Cilento
Lines quotes by Michael Pollan
#40. The corporatization of something as basic and intimate as eating is, for many of us today, a good place to draw the line. #Quote by Michael Pollan
Lines quotes by Scarlett Cole
#41. Harper walked over to her reception desk. "What's with the Tyson look-alikes out there? I almost couldn't get in here."
Pixie frowned. "Better go ask your boy-o. Famous rock star in the house." Pixie accentuated her comment with the poke of her pen.
Jeez, he was huge. And built. And shirtless. Okay, enough staring. Well, maybe just for another second. Trent was leaning over the guy, and she could tell from the wide-reaching spread of purple transfer lines that he was just beginning a sleeve on the other man's lower arm. The guy in the chair might well be a rock star - although Harper would never admit she had no clue who he was - but he was wincing. Harper could totally feel for him.
Trent was in his usual position - hat on backward, gloves on, and perched on a stool.
Harper approached them nervously. The big guy's size and presence were a little intimidating.
"I don't bite." Oh God. He was talking to her.
"Excuse me?"
He sucked air in between clenched teeth. "I said I don't bite. You can come closer." His blue eyes were sparkling as he studied her closely.
Trent looked up. "Hey, darlin'," he said, putting the tattoo machine down and reaching for her hand. "Dred, this is my girl, Harper. Harper, this is Dred Zander from the band Preload. He's one of the other judges I told you about."
Wow. Not that she knew much about the kind of music that Trent listened to, but even she had heard of Preload. That certainly explained t #Quote by Scarlett Cole
Lines quotes by Kelsey Chow
#42. I definitely want to study global health. Right now I'm working on all the prerequisite core curriculum that Columbia has. So getting all of that out of the way. And I definitely want to pursue something along the lines of public health. #Quote by Kelsey Chow
Lines quotes by Terry Bradshaw
#43. Bottom line is, if you turn the ball over to a team that isn't as good, you then have brought them up to your level. #Quote by Terry Bradshaw
Lines quotes by Christopher Fry
#44. The lines marking a penalty area are a disgrace to the playing fields of a public school. #Quote by Christopher Fry
Lines quotes by Martin Amis
#45. I looked at it out there. The figures that held my attention, as always (I too had an office at Buna, and spent many hours in front of its window), the figures that held my attention were not the men in stripes, as they queued or scurried in lines or entangled one another in a kind of centipedal scrum, moving at an unnatural speed, like extras in a silent film, moving faster than their strength or build could bear, as if in obedience to a frantic crank swivelled by a furious hand; the figures that held my attention were not the Kapos who screamed at the prisoners, nor the SS noncoms who screamed at the Kapos, nor the overalled company foremen who screamed at the SS noncoms. No. What held my eye were the figures in city business suits, designers, engineers, administrators from IG Farben plants in Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Ludwigshafen, with leather-bound notebooks and retractable yellow measuring tapes, daintily picking their way past the bodies of the wounded, the unconscious, and the dead. #Quote by Martin Amis
Lines quotes by Daniele Bolelli
#46. No matter how good the justification, I still see all the identities that divide human beings along racial or national lines as prisons. I'm not about to give artificial categories and man-made borders the right to limit my ties with other human beings and dictate what values I should or should not embrace. #Quote by Daniele Bolelli
Lines quotes by Alice Oseman
#47. The aromantic and asexual spectrums weren't just straight lines. They
were radar charts with at least a dozen different axes. #Quote by Alice Oseman
Lines quotes by Kool G Rap
#48. I'm givin' more flat lines to niggas than loose-leaf. #Quote by Kool G Rap
Lines quotes by Marc Jacobs
#49. I'm useless at staring at a piece of white paper. But if you put a piece of white paper with a black line on it in front of me, I'll say no that black line should be red and it should go this way or that way. #Quote by Marc Jacobs
Lines quotes by Francine Rivers
#50. Have you ever been to the beach and wanted to feed the seagulls? The problem is you tear off a little crust from your sandwich and toss it to one, and ten more show up. Toss a little more and a flock descends. You start to wonder: if I run out of bread, will I become the meal?
Turkeys are different. They startle easily and run for the barn. In the wild, they run for the hills. Of course, they're very tasty. Benjamin Franklin thought them majestic enough to be an emblem for our country. I'm sorry, but Thanksgiving would be downright depressing. There's our national symbol lying stuffed and roasted and ready to carve up for hungry guests.
And then we have the eagles. Our forefathers were trained in the Bible. […]They would have known Isaiah 40:31. "Those who wait upon the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." They were making war on the greatest power in the world of the time; the world was watching them. What could this band of commoners do?
What troubles me about our country today is how many seagulls there are, scrambling for more. Remember the movie "Finding Nemo"? "Mine, mine, mine!" And we sure have a lot of gutless turkeys running for the barn whenever hard decisions have to be made; like how to keep our country solvent so our children won't be in soup lines
Where are the eagles? That's what I want to know. Please, God, we need us some eagles! #Quote by Francine Rivers
Lines quotes by Honore De Balzac
#51. A line is a method of expressing the effect of light upon an object; but there are no lines in Nature, everything is solid. We draw by modeling, that is to say, that we disengage an object from its setting; the distribution of the light alone gives to a body the appearance by which we know it. #Quote by Honore De Balzac
Lines quotes by Jay Inslee
#52. We need to get our sons and daughters home and their responsibility for the security of Iraq needs to be assumed by Iraqis who will stand up and toe the line for their countries. #Quote by Jay Inslee
Lines quotes by Melody Grace
#53. My mom always said, there are two kinds of love in this world: the steady breeze, and the hurricane.
The steady breeze is slow and patient. It fills the sails of the boats in the harbor, and lifts laundry on the line. It cools you on a hot summer's day; brings the leaves of fall, like clockwork every year. You can count on a breeze, steady and sure and true.
But there's nothing steady about a hurricane. It rips through town, reckless, sending the ocean foaming up the shore, felling trees and power lines and anyone dumb or fucked-up enough to stand in its path. Sure, it's a thrill like nothing you've ever known: your pulse kicks, your body calls to it, like a spirit possessed. It's wild and breathless and all-consuming.
But what comes next?
"You see a hurricane coming, you run." My mom told me, the summer I turned eighteen. "You shut the doors, and you bar the windows. Because come morning, there'll be nothing but the wreckage left behind."
Emerson Ray was my hurricane.
Looking back, I wonder if mom saw it in my eyes: the storm clouds gathering, the dry crackle of electricity in the air. But it was already too late. No warning sirens were going to save me. I guess you never really know the danger, not until you're the one left, huddled on the ground, surrounded by the pieces of your broken heart.
It's been four years now since that summer. Since Emerson. It took everything I had to pull myself back together, to crawl out of the empty wreckage #Quote by Melody Grace
Lines quotes by Winston Churchill
#54. A study of Disease-of Pestilences methodically prepared and deliberately launched upon man and beast-is certainly being pursue in the laboratories of more than one great country. Blight to destroy crops, Anthrax to slay horses and cattle, Plague to poison not armies but whole districts - such are the lines along which military science is remorselessly advancing. #Quote by Winston Churchill
Lines quotes by Dennis Miller
#55. Lotto fever hit New York again this week, and like the old saying goes, 'You gotta be in it to win it' ... but first, you gotta have a dead end job so pathetic you're willing to kill five hours standing in line for a 1 in 25 million chance. #Quote by Dennis Miller
Lines quotes by Herman Melville
#56. Know, thou, that the lines that live are turned out of a furrowed brow. #Quote by Herman Melville
Lines quotes by Joseph Fink
#57. Josie's house was near the edge of town, next to the used car lot. When a person was done with a car, and they didn't need to pawn it, they would park it in the used car lot, open the door, and run as fast they could for the fence, before the used car salesmen could catch them. No one ever came to buy one. The used car salesmen loped between the lines of cars, their hackles raised and their fur on end. They would stroke the hood of a Toyota Sienna, radiant with heat in the desert sun, or poke curiously at the bumper of a Volkswagen Golf, nearly dislodged by potholes and tied on with a few zip ties. The used car salesmen were fast and ravenous, and sometimes a person who meant only to leave their car would leave much more than that. #Quote by Joseph Fink
Lines quotes by Pat Williams
#58. Great leaders have a heart for people. They take time for people. They view people as the bottom line, not as a tool to get to the bottom line. #Quote by Pat Williams
Lines quotes by Steve Martin
#59. I realized that comedians of the day were operating on jokes and punch lines. The moment you say the punch line, the audience either laughs sincerely or they laugh automatically or they don't laugh. The thing that bothered me was that automatic laugh. I said, that's not real laughter. #Quote by Steve Martin
Lines quotes by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon
#60. The mission has not yet run its course. Don't limit your actions in pursuit of success. Take a measured course and a wide berth within your lines of operation. Show us all what you are capable of. #Quote by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon
Lines quotes by Dan Jenkins
#61. It was a hot sticky night in Barcelona and all the good whores had the summer flu. #Quote by Dan Jenkins
Lines quotes by Arthur Miller
#62. The closer they come to transcending technique and the memorization of lines
the closer to really beginning to act, in short
the more Chinese they begin to seem. Happy now approaches Miss Forsythe to pick her up in the restaurant with a wonderful formality, his back straight, head high, his hand-gestures even more precise and formal, but with a comic undertone that ironically comes closer to conveying the original American idea of the scene than when he was trying to be physically sloppy and "relaxed"
that is, imitating an American. I think that by some unplanned magic we may end up creating something not quite American or Chinese but a pure style springing from the heart of the play itself
the play as a nonnational event, that is, a human circumstance. #Quote by Arthur Miller
Lines quotes by Benjamin Watson
#63. In any given marketplace, there's a triangle. There's a line of Dior goods at $25,000 that creates the sharp focus you need to sell $100 scarves to every woman. When [Design Miami] Basel popped on the scene, it proved there's a market for the top of the design triangle, which will lead the wide base beneath it. #Quote by Benjamin Watson
Lines quotes by Kathleen Sheeder Bonanno
#64. Always-
the sharp,
plaintive edge
on the rim
of the spoon
of my giving.
(lines 8-13 of the poem 'Confessions') #Quote by Kathleen Sheeder Bonanno
Lines quotes by Charles Bukowski
#65. The lines on the page were pulled tight, like a man screaming, but not "Joe, where are you?" More like Joe, where is anything? #Quote by Charles Bukowski
Lines quotes by Betsy Lerner
#66. But I also believe there is enormous value in the piece of writing that goes no further than the one person for whom it was intended, that no combination of written words is more eloquent than those exchanged in letters between lovers or friends, or along the pale blue lines of private diaries, where people take communion with themselves. #Quote by Betsy Lerner
Lines quotes by Olivia Goldsmith
#67. Just like a spider with a line of silk! Did you ever see them throw themselves out into space to weave? They're taking a chance, every single time. They got to do it or else they'd never create anything. But I bet it don't feel good, even to a spider. #Quote by Olivia Goldsmith
Lines quotes by C. JoyBell C.
#68. It's time that I stop referring to myself, thinking about myself, planning for myself, according to the gridlines and the timelines and the guidelines of people. I will expand in this universe, I will not stay on the lines nor within the lines written by this world. #Quote by C. JoyBell C.
Lines quotes by Nancy Duarte
#69. My best advice is to not start in PowerPoint. Presentation tools force you to think through information linearly, and you really need to start by thinking of the whole instead of the individual lines. #Quote by Nancy Duarte
Lines quotes by Jeanette Winterson
#70. Why did I walk so purposefully in a straight line? Where would it take me? He went round and round and we got there all the same. #Quote by Jeanette Winterson
Lines quotes by Mary Oliver
#71. Various ambitions to complete the poem, to see it in print, to enjoy the gratification of someone's comment about it - serve in some measure as incentives to the writer's work. Though each of these is reasonable, each is a threat to the other ambition of the poet, which is to write as well as Keats, Yeats, or Williams - or whoever it was who scribbled onto a page a few lines whose force the reader once felt and has never forgotten. Every poet's ambition should be to write as well. Anything else is only a flirtation. #Quote by Mary Oliver
Lines quotes by S.L. Jennings
#72. I'm a lot of things – crass, stubborn, brutally honest, egotistical – but one thing I am not, is careless. I know my boundaries, and I never cross them. In a business where lines can be easily blurred, those boundaries are outlined in black Sharpie, traced in gasoline, then set the fuck on fire, ensuring that no one even gets close enough to inhale the fumes of temptation.
Yet, here I am, touching, tempting, tasting the limits. Begging to get burned by an angel with a halo of fire. #Quote by S.L. Jennings
Lines quotes by Friedrich Nietzsche
#73. One has to take a somewhat bold and dangerous line with this existence: especially as, whatever happens, we are bound to lose it. #Quote by Friedrich Nietzsche
Lines quotes by Bill Bryson
#74. I come from Des Moines. Somebody had to. #Quote by Bill Bryson
Lines quotes by William Lane Craig
#75. This is reality in a universe without God: there is no hope; there is no purpose. It reminds me of T.S. Eliot's haunting lines:
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
What is true of mankind as a whole is true of each of us individually: we are here to no purpose. If there is no God, then our life is not fundamentally different from that of a dog. #Quote by William Lane Craig
Lines quotes by Lillian Hellman
#76. Old paint on canvas, as it ages, sometimes becomes transparent. When that happens it is possible, in some pictures, to see the original lines: a tree will show through a woman's dress, a child makes way for a dog, a large boat is no longer on an open sea. That is called pentimento because the painter 'repented', changed his mind. Perhaps it would be as well to say that the old conception, replaced by a later choice, is a way of seeing and then seeing again. #Quote by Lillian Hellman
Lines quotes by Jamaica Kincaid
#77. None of us seem to think that we should draw a line under what would be a satisfactory amount of wealth. #Quote by Jamaica Kincaid
Lines quotes by W. Somerset Maugham
#78. Gothic lines grimmer; the soft brilliance of the altar, with its multitude of candles, with the priests performing actions whose meaning was unknown to him; the silent crowd that seemed not to participate but to wait anxiously like a crowd at a station barrier waiting for the gate to open; the stench of wet clothes and the aromatic perfume of incense; the bitter cold that lowered like a threatening unseen presence; it was not a religious emotion that he got from all this, but the sense of a mystery that had its roots far back in the origins of the human race. His nerves were taut, and when on a sudden the choir to the full accompaniment of the orchestra burst with a great shout into the Adeste Fideles he was seized with an exultation over he knew not what. #Quote by W. Somerset Maugham
Lines quotes by Carly Fiorina
#79. I do not support citizenship for those already here illegally. Those who cut the line and broke our laws as their first act entering this country have foregone that opportunity. #Quote by Carly Fiorina
Lines quotes by Friedensreich Hundertwasser
#80. Today we live in a chaos of straight lines, in a jungle of straight lines. If you do not believe this, take the trouble to count the straight lines which surround you. Then you will understand, for you will never finish counting. #Quote by Friedensreich Hundertwasser
Lines quotes by Daniel Tammet
#81. One of the lines from my books is about having respect for different minds, and if I had to have an epitaph at this point in my life, that would be it. #Quote by Daniel Tammet
Lines quotes by Sugata Mitra
#82. The bottom line is, if you're not the one controlling your learning, you're not going to learn as well. #Quote by Sugata Mitra
Lines quotes by Wentworth Miller
#83. My rule is you want someone whos got both feet on the ground. An ideal girlfriend might be someone who works in the business and can understand what youre going through but is not an actor themselves - is willing to run lines with you but when you start acting crazy, they throw up their hands and take you for what you are and be accepting. #Quote by Wentworth Miller

#89. To this day, watching a woman mindlessly tend to one thing while doing something else absorbs me. Like securing the backs of her earrings while wiggling her feet into her shoes. Like staring into some middle distance, where lines soften, and where she separates the relevant from the immaterial. #Quote by Durga Chew-Bose

#90. I'm not a fan of country music, but there's no better music to drive to. Turn the right song up loud enough on the Porsche's sound system and it will swallow you whole. The past is prelude and the future is a black hole, but right now, hurtling north across state lines for no particular reason, I have to say, it feels pretty good to be me. #Quote by Jonathan Tropper

#92. Let no youth have any anxiety about the upshot of his education, whatever the line of it may be. If he keep faithfully busy each hour of the working-day, he may safely leave the result to itself. He can with perfect certainty count on waking up some fine morning to find himself one of the competent ones of his generation. #Quote by William James
Lines quotes by Miranda Hart
#93. Mine was something along the lines of 'This is who I am, and this is the level at which I'm going to present myself, I feel fine, and if you don't like it then you're more than welcome to look away, thank you very much.' I decided, quite simply, not to care very much at all. As long as my rear-end and stomach were hidden from the public gaze, then I considered any outfit a roaring success.
People are either going to like the look of me, or they're not. And apart from remaining vaguely clean and healthy, there's not very much I can do to control that. Is an eye-lash tint, a facial and the right handbag really going to make all that much difference?
With this decision, I think I've spared myself a lot of misery. You may look at me and see a slightly frayed, wool-clad woman with an inexplicably hefty rucksack, but I look in the mirror and simply give thanks for all I've opted out of. #Quote by Miranda Hart

Lines quotes by Also Leopold
#98. One of the anomalies of modern ecology is the creation of two groups, each of which seems barely aware of the existence of the other. The one studies the human community, almost as if it were a separate entity, and calls its findings sociology, economics and history. The other studies the plant and animal community and comfortably relegates the hodge-podge of politics to the liberal arts. The inevitable fusion of these two lines of thought will, perhaps, constitute the outstanding advance of this century. #Quote by Also Leopold
Lines quotes by Arnold Hauser
#99. The other strikingly modern feature of the type of poet which Euripides now introduced into the history of literature is his apparently voluntary refusal to take any part whatever in public life. Euripides was not a soldier as Aeschylus was, nor a priestly dignitary as Sophocles was, but, on the other hand, he is the very first poet who is reported to have possessed a library, and he appears to be also the first poet to lead the life of a scholar in complete retirement from the world. If the bust of him, with its tousled hair, its tired eyes and the embittered lines round the mouth, is a true portrait, and if we are right in seeing in it a discrepancy between body and spirit, and the expression of a restless and dissatisfied life, then we may say that Euripides was the first unhappy poet, the first whose poetry brought him suffering. The notion of genius in the modern sense is not merely completely strange to the ancient world; its poets and artists have nothing of the genius about them. The rational and craftsmanlike elements in art are far more important for them than the irrational and intuitive. Plato's doctrine of enthusiasm emphasized, indeed, that poets owed their work to divine inspiration and not to mere technical ability, but this idea by no means leads to the exaltation of the poet; it only increases the gulf between him and his work, and makes of him a mere instrument of the divine purpose. It is, however, of the essence of the modern notion of genius that there i #Quote by Arnold Hauser

#119. A reflection on Robert Lowell

Robert Lowell knew I was not one of his devotees. I attended his famous "office hours" salon only a few times. Life Studies was not a book of central importance for me, though I respected it. I admired his writing, but not the way many of my Boston friends did. Among poets in his generation, poems by Elizabeth Bishop, Alan Dugan, and Allen Ginsberg meant more to me than Lowell's. I think he probably sensed some of that.

To his credit, Lowell nevertheless was generous to me (as he was to many other young poets) just the same. In that generosity, and a kind of open, omnivorous curiosity, he was different from my dear teacher at Stanford, Yvor Winters. Like Lowell, Winters attracted followers - but Lowell seemed almost dismayed or a little bewildered by imitators; Winters seemed to want disciples: "Wintersians," they were called.

A few years before I met Lowell, when I was still in California, I read his review of Winters's Selected Poems. Lowell wrote that, for him, Winters's poetry passed A. E. Housman's test: he felt that if he recited it while he was shaving, he would cut himself. One thing Lowell and Winters shared, that I still revere in both of them, was a fiery devotion to the vocal essence of poetry: the work and interplay of sentences and lines, rhythm and pitch. The poetry in the sounds of the poetry, in a reader's voice: neither page nor stage.

I am writing for the Christian agnostic, by which I mean a person who is immensely attracted to Christ and who seeks to show his spirit, to meet the challenges, hardships, and sorrows of life in the light of that spirit, but who, though he is sure of many Christian truths, feels that he cannot honestly and conscientiously 'sign on the dotted line' that he believes certain theological ideas about what some branches of the Church dogmatize. #Quote by Leslie Weatherhead

Lines quotes by Veronica Roth
#127. There is a Shotet poem I like," she said in clear Thuvhesit. He'd heard her speak just a few Thuvhesit words in all the time they'd spent together. That she spoke it now meant something--they were on equal footing, in a way they couldn't have been before. She had just about died to make them that way.
He frowned as he chewed on that. What a person did when they were in pain said a lot about them. And Cyra, always in pain, had almost given her life to free him from Shotet prison. He would never forget it.
"The translation is difficult," she continued. "But roughly, one of the lines reads, 'The heavy heart knows that justice is done.'"
"Your accent is very good," he said.
"I like the way the words feel." She touched her throat. "It reminds me of you. #Quote by Veronica Roth

#128. He didn't have to guide his mom toward Cyra. She saw her and walked straight to her. It didn't make Cyra look any less scared.
"Miss Noavek," his mom said. There was a little catch in her throat. She tilted her head to see the silverskin on Cyra's neck.
"Oracle," Cyra said, inclining her head. He'd never seen Cyra bow to anyone like she meant it before.
One of the shadows bloomed over Cyra's cheek and then spread into three lines of inky dark that ran down her throat like a swallow. He set his fingers on her elbow so she could shake his mother's hand when she offered it, and his mom watched the light touch with interest.
"Mom, Cyra made sure I got home last week," he said. He wasn't sure what else to say about her. Or what else to say, period. The blush that had chased him through childhood came creeping back; he felt it behind his ears, and tried to stifle it. "At great cost to herself, as you can see."
His mom looked Cyra over again. "Thank you, Miss Noavek, for what you've done for my son. I look forward, later, to finding out why."
With a strange smile, Sifa turned away, linking arms with Cisi. Cyra hung back with Akos, eyebrows raised.
"That's my mother," he said.
"I realize that," she said. "You're…" She brushed her fingers over the back of his ear, where his skin was heating. "You're blushing."
So much for trying to stifle it. The heat spread to Akos's face, and he was sure he was bright red. Shouldn't he have grown out of t #Quote by Veronica Roth

Lines quotes by C. JoyBell C.
#131. The majority of people have successfully alienated themselves from change; they tediously arrange their lives into a familiar pattern, they give themselves to normalcy, they are proud if they are able to follow in auspicious footsteps set before them, they take pride in always coloring inside the lines and they feel secure if they belong to a batch of others who are like them. Now, if familiar patterns bore you, if normalcy passes before you unnoticed, if you want to create your own footsteps in the earth and leave your own handprints on the skies, if you are the one who doesn't mind the lines in the coloring book as much as others do, and perchance you do not cling to a flock for you to identify with, then you must be ready for adversity. If you are something extraordinary, you are going to always shock others and while they go about existing in their mundaneness which they call success, you're going to be flying around crazy in their skies and that scares them. People are afraid of change, afraid of being different, afraid of doing things and thinking things that aren't a part of their checkerboard game of a life. They only know the pieces and the moves in their games, and that's it. You're always going to find them in the place that you think you're going to find them in, and every time they think about you, you're going to give them a heart attack. #Quote by C. JoyBell C.
Lines quotes by Alexis Hall
#132. The tapestry of my life was a ruin of unravelling threads. The brightest parts were a nonsensical madman's weaving. Lines quotes by Roger Joseph Boscovich
#137. But if some mind very different from ours were to look upon some property of some curved line as we do on the evenness of a straight line, he would not recognize as such the evenness of a straight line; nor would he arrange the elements of his geometry according to that very different system, and would investigate quite other relationships as I have suggested in my notes.
We fashion our geometry on the properties of a straight line because that seems to us to be the simplest of all. But really all lines that are continuous and of a uniform nature are just as simple as one another. Another kind of mind which might form an equally clear mental perception of some property of any one of these curves, as we do of the congruence of a straight line, might believe these curves to be the simplest of all, and from that property of these curves build up the elements of a very different geometry, referring all other curves to that one, just as we compare them to a straight line. Indeed, these minds, if they noticed and formed an extremely clear perception of some property of, say, the parabola, would not seek, as our geometers do, to rectify the parabola, they would endeavor, if one may coin the expression, to parabolify the straight line. #Quote by Roger Joseph Boscovich
Lines quotes by Henry James
#138. She sat with great intensity, giving the whole of her mind to it, and was capable of remaining for an hour almost as motionless as if she were before a photographer's lens. I could see she had been photographed often, but somehow the very habit that made her good for that purpose unfitted her for mine. At first I was extremely pleased with her lady-like air, and it was a satisfaction, on coming to follow her lines, to see how good they were and how far they could lead the pencil. But after a few times I began to find her too insurmountably stiff; do what I would with it my drawing looked like a photograph or a copy of a photograph. Her figure had no variety of expression -- she herself had no sense of variety. You may say that this was my business, was only a question of placing her. I placed her in every conceivable position, but she managed to obliterate their differences. She was always a lady certainly, and into the bargain was always the same lady. She was the real thing, but always the same thing. There were moments when I was oppressed by the serenity of her confidence that she WAS the real thing. #Quote by Henry James

#142. This is why James likes birds- because they are all possibility. They make a line in the aid, the invisible line of their flight, and this line can join up with other lines or lead somewhere entirely new. Lines quotes by Chuck Wendig
#145. ALL ARE WELCOME. (NO FIGHTING.) That rule is simple on the surface, but not easy in the execution, because Maz Kanata's castle has been a meeting place since time immemorial-- a nexus point drawing together countless lines of allegiance and opposition, a place not only where friend and foe can meet, but where complex conflicts are worn down flat so that all may sit, have a drink and a meal, listen to a song, and broker whatever deals their hearts or politics require. That's why the flags outside her castle represent hundreds of cities and civilizations and guilds from before forever. The galaxy is not now, nor has it ever been, two polar forces battling for supremacy. It has been thousands of forces: a tug-of-war not with as ingle rope but a spider's web of influence, dominance, and desire. Clans and cults, tribes and families, governments and anti-governments. Queens, satraps, warlords! Diplomats, buccaneers, droids! Slicers, spicers, ramblers, and gamblers! To repeat: ALL ARE WELCOME. (NO FIGHTING.) #Quote by Chuck Wendig

Lines quotes by Alfred De Musset
#149. Poets represent love as sculptors design beauty, as musicians create melody; that is to say, endowed with an exquisite nervous organization, they gather up with discerning ardor the purest elements of life, the most beautiful lines of matter, and the most harmonious voices of nature. There lived, it is said, at Athens a great number of beautiful girls; Praxiteles drew them all one after another; then from these diverse types of beauty, each one of which had its defects, he formed a single faultless beauty and created Venus. The man who first created a musical instrument, and who gave to harmony its rules and its laws, had for a long time listened to the murmuring of reeds and the singing of birds. Thus the poets, who understand life, after knowing much of love, more or less transitory, after feeling that sublime exaltation which real passion can for the moment inspire, eliminating from human nature all that degrades it, created the mysterious names which through the ages fly from lip to lip: Daphnis and Chloe, Hero and Leander, Pyramus and Thisbe.

To try to find in real life such love as this, eternal and absolute, is but to seek on public squares a woman such as Venus, or to expect nightingales to sing the symphonies of Beethoven. #Quote by Alfred De Musset

Lines quotes by Franz Kafka
#151. Quite simple," said the chairman, "you haven't really come into contact with our authorities. All those contacts are merely apparent, but in your case, because of your ignorance of the situation here, you think they're real. As for the telephone: look, in my own house, though I certainly deal often with the authorities, there's no telephone. At inns and in places like that it may serve a useful purpose, along the lines, say, of an automated phonograph, but that's all. Have you ever telephoned here, you have? Well then, perhaps you can understand me. At the Castle the telephone seems to work extremely well; I've been told the telephones up there are in constant use, which of course greatly speeds up the work. Here on our local telephones we hear that constant telephoning as a murmuring and singing, you must have heard it too. Well, this murmuring and singing is the only true and reliable thing that the local telephones convey to us, everything else is deceptive. There is no separate telephone connection to the Castle and no switchboard to forward our calls; when anyone here calls the Castle, all the telephones in the lowest-level departments ring, or all would ring if the ringing mechanism on nearly all of them were not, and I know this for certain, disconnected. Now and then, though, an overtired official needs some diversion - especially late in the evening or at night - and turns on the ringing mechanism, then we get an answer, though an answer that's no more than a joke. Lines quotes by Gilles Deleuze
#154. Of course, Kafka doesn't see himself as a sort of party. He doesn't even pretend to be revolutionary, whatever his socialist sympathies may be. He knows that all the lines link him to a literary machine of expression for which he is simultaneously the gears, the mechanic, the operator, and the victim. So how will he proceed in this bachelor machine that doesn't make use of, and can't make use of, social critique? How will he make a revolution?
He will act on the German language such as it is in Czechoslovakia. Since it is a deterritorialized language in many ways, he will push the deterritorialization farther, not through intensities, reversals and thickenings of the language but through a sobriety that makes language take flight on a straight line, anticipates or produces its segmentations. Expression must sweep up content; the same process must happen to form ... It is not a politics of pessimism, nor a literary caricature or a form of science fiction. #Quote by Gilles Deleuze

Lines quotes by Madeline Martin
#157. He poured a splash of liquid into a second cup. "Come in and warm yerself by the fire."
Ariana walked deeper into the room, toward the glow of the hearth. It's heat enveloped her skin and eased away the chill with such expediency, she almost sighed.
Connor appeared beside her with a metal cup extended. "I canna sleep often myself."
She closed her fingers around the cool surface and glanced at the dark liquid within. A sharp scent hit her nostrils.
"Whisky," Connor said.
He was perfection in the firelight. Shadows etched his jaw while the light softened his face, his lips. The powerful lines of his chest were visible at the neck of his leine, as well as a dark peppering of small curling black hairs.
"Whisky," Ariana said with a forced stare at the cup instead of him. "Of course. I drink this all the time."
"Aye, I knew that about ye. When I first saw ye, I thought, 'Now there's a lass who can handle her whisky.'" Connor winked at her with disarming playfulness. "It'll do ye some good. Take off the chill and settle yer thoughts."
"Why do you assume my thoughts are unsettled?" she asked.
He took a swallow from his cup. "Because sleep comes easily to those without weight on their minds."
Ariana took a careful sip from her own cup, the way she'd seen men at the card tables drink. The liquid burned like sin down her throat and caught in her chest.
She gritted her teeth and swallowed hard several times to keep from sputtering.#Quote by Madeline Martin

Lines quotes by Juan Pablo Di Pace
#159. I have five, six, seven things I do before those lines are in my brain. I say them like I'm a robot; I sing them. I put a pencil in my mouth, and I say them. I cook. I play with a cushion and say them - so they really are inside of me. #Quote by Juan Pablo Di Pace
Lines quotes by Killer Mike
#160. God really exists, I tell you like this:
It resides inside.
And anybody tell you different,
Just selling you religion,
Tryin' to keep your ass in line. #Quote by Killer Mike
Lines quotes by Tim Salmon
#161. I have always been determined to never compromise my faith or my principles. I always relied on my God-given talent when I took the field. So the idea of using PED's to enhance my performance was a line I chose not to cross. #Quote by Tim Salmon
Lines quotes by John Cusack
#162. Most movies, once the action starts there's no more characters. You say a couple of dumb lines and then there's just explosions until the end. #Quote by John Cusack
Lines quotes by Nitya Prakash
#163. I like to look at people's hands. The lines drawn, the color of their skin. All beautifully different. Not one is raised or taught the same. #Quote by Nitya Prakash
Lines quotes by Robert Morse
#164. My memorization skills aren't that great so I need help in that area. As far as everything else, I listen to the director. I'm someone who doesn't argue. I hit my marks and say the lines. #Quote by Robert Morse
Lines quotes by Derek Webb
#165. I have a lot of friends and family that have suffered because of the church's judgment; my best friend in the world is gay. I felt a lot of people around me drawing lines in the sand, and that year I decided: I don't want to draw lines and have to be on one side or the other, but if someone's going to push me to one or the other side of the line, I'm going to stand on the side of those being judged because that's where I feel Jesus meets people. #Quote by Derek Webb
Lines quotes by Frank Herbert
#166. We are generalists. You can't draw neat lines around planet-wide problems. Planetology is a cut-and-fit science. #Quote by Frank Herbert
Lines quotes by John D. MacDonald
#167. I talked with Junior Allen. He didn't have his mind on it. He was crouched in the brush, and he could taste lamb, and he was alerted for the first shy sound of the little hoofs coming along the trail. I gently and indirectly advanced the idea of my coming along, and he firmly closed the door. He got up and sprang nimbly onto the dock, snapped the weak dock light on, checked his lines, adjusted a fender and came aboard again, restless. #Quote by John D. MacDonald
Lines quotes by Bram Stoker
#168. But the Count! Never did I imagine such wrath and fury, even to the demons of the pit. His eyes were positively blazing. The red light in them was lurid, as if the flames of hell fire blazed behind them. His face was deathly pale, and the lines of it were hard like drawn wires. #Quote by Bram Stoker
Lines quotes by Liz Garbus
#169. Managers all over the world will go crazy when their artists are not touting the party line and making things pretty in the way that they're supposed to, but it's different when your manager is your husband. It's contrary to your soul. That commercial interest presses in upon your whole personal life. #Quote by Liz Garbus
Lines quotes by John C. Maxwell
#170. People who are not leaders automatically gravitate toward lines
limitations set by others. Many people are taught this in kindergarten when they are instructed to stay within the lines while coloring. But leaders are more creative than that. They look for options and opportunities. They try to take things in a new direction, or beyond the limit. Progress and innovation are made by people who think without lines. #Quote by John C. Maxwell
Lines quotes by F.K. Preston
#171. If my life was pulled into the pages of a book, there would be coffee stains and wrinkles along the lines of that narrative. Because all I can wish is that the book of my life would be well read and well loved. Living within words and the sound of writing. #Quote by F.K. Preston
Lines quotes by Shigeru Miyamoto
#172. There are big lines between those who play video games and those who do not. For those who don't, video games are irrelevant. They think all video games must be too difficult. #Quote by Shigeru Miyamoto
Lines quotes by Kiersten White
#173. Bleep, I hadn't fought a werewolf ever, and had never had to tase one who was actually expecting it. He grinned maliciously as we circled each other, each looking for an opening.
"I can smell your fear."
"Again with the lines! What do you think this is, a B movie? News flash: you are not a tortured hero and we're not going to have a hot make out scene after we fight. #Quote by Kiersten White
Lines quotes by James Patterson
#174. Congratulations. The fact that you're reading this means you've taken one giant step closer to surviving until your next birthday. #Quote by James Patterson
Lines quotes by Will Oldham
#175. A record is something that isn't real or true. It's like cinema. It's a construction of something hyper-real and surreal and unreal all at the same time. You make a space that doesn't really exist. One of the big joys of being in this line of work is building the recorded versions of the songs. #Quote by Will Oldham
Lines quotes by Rudolf Arnheim
#176. The line that describes the beautiful is elliptical. It has simplicity and constant change. It cannot be described by a compass, and it changes direction at every one of its points. #Quote by Rudolf Arnheim
Lines quotes by Timothy Findley
#177. You begin to arrange your research in bundles - letters - photos - telegrams. This is that last thing you see before you put on your overcoat:
Robert and Rowena with Meg: Rowena seated astride the pony – Robert holding her in place. On the back is written: 'Look! You can see our breath!' And you can. #Quote by Timothy Findley
Lines quotes by Chrissy Costanza
#178. The line is "So we beat on, boats against the current, born back ceaselessly into the past." We've interpreted it as the meaning of us [when we] went against the current, against the grain and did what felt natural to us ... regardless of what we thought we were supposed to be doing. We threw all of that out the window. We existed how we wanted to. #Quote by Chrissy Costanza
Lines quotes by Stan Kelly-Bootle
#179. There are three things a man must do before his life is done; Write two lines in APL, And make the buggers run. #Quote by Stan Kelly-Bootle
Lines quotes by Chicken John
#180. We all have to pick our battles. You've got to draw a line in the sand and stand firm. And it's this squishiness that's really the enemy, like, "Well, I don't know, it's kind of OK but I kind of feel guilty, and I kind of want a bran muffin, I don't know, and I'm wearing a vest; it's crocheted." Shut up. Just pick your battle and just stand there, and whatever you are going to do, own it. #Quote by Chicken John
Lines quotes by Rebecca Campbell
#181. i believe your tragedies, your losses , your sorrows ,your hurt happen for you not to you. And i bless the thing that broke you down and cracked you open because world need you open. #Quote by Rebecca Campbell
Lines quotes by Cecil Castellucci
#182. Weekday morning routine:
Take shower.
Assemble perfect outfit.
Apply makeup.
Pull hair into bun. Secure with glitter pencils.
Accept twenty-dollar bill from Dad.
Pick up latte and creamy chocolate brioche from cafe.
Drive to school the long way.
Listen to sad music way too loud.
Nab choice parking spot under tree. #Quote by Cecil Castellucci
Lines quotes by Karen Chance
#183. I… What are you doing " Mircea had run a hand through his waterfall of hair and now he was sliding those beautifully shaped hands down his chest to glide over his nipples. His torso was hairless and perfectly sculpted with toned muscles and a long waist. He followed the lines of his flat stomach to the low-slung border of his only remaining garment. His fingers lingered there sliding along that insubstantial barrier teasingly drawing my eyes to the line of dark hair that started below his navel and disappeared beneath the black silk. It was startling against the pale perfection of his skin and except for the faint pink of his
nipples gave the only color to his upper body.
"Doing dulceaţă " he asked innocently. "I am trying my best to seduce you. #Quote by Karen Chance
Lines quotes by Cesar Chavez
#184. Nonviolence is really tough. You don't practice nonviolence at conferences; you practice it on picket-lines. #Quote by Cesar Chavez
Lines quotes by Ian Shoales
#185. Americans will buy anything, as long as it doesn't cross the thin line between cute and demonic. #Quote by Ian Shoales
Lines quotes by Matt Groening
#186. Where do babies come from? Don't bother asking adults. They lie like pigs. However, diligent independent research and hours of playground consultation have yielded fruitful, if tentative, results. There are several theories. Near as we can figure out, it has something to do with acting ridiculous in the dark. We believe it is similar to dogs when they act peculiar and ride each other. This is called "making love". Careful study of popular song lyrics, advertising catch-lines, TV sitcoms, movies, and T-Shirt inscriptions offers us significant clues as to its nature. Apparently it makes grown-ups insipid and insane. Some graffiti was once observed that said "sex is good". All available evidence, however, points to the contrary. #Quote by Matt Groening
Lines quotes by Helen McCloy
#187. The author portrays himself in every line he writes and portrayal is always betrayal. #Quote by Helen McCloy
Lines quotes by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
#188. In your madness you said you loved me," she murmured shyly.

His humor fled, and the smile left her lips as she continued, "You said it before, too. When the storm struck, I asked you to love me, and you said you did." Her voice was the barest of whispers.

Ruark's gaze turned away from her, and he rubbed the bandage on his leg before he spoke. "Strange that madness should speak the truth, but truth it is." He met her questioning eyes directly. "Aye, I love you." The pain of longing marked his face with a momentary sadness. "And that is madness, in all truth."

Shanna raised herself form his side and sat on her heels, staring down at him. "Why do you love me?" Her tone was wondrous. "I beset you at every turn. I deny you as a fit mate. I have betrayed you into slavery and worse. There is no sanity in your plea at all. How can you love me?"

"Shanna! Shanna! Shanna!" he sighed, placing his fingers on her hand and gently tracing the lines of her finely boned fingers. "What man would boast the wisdom of his love? How many time has this world heard, 'I don't care, I love.' Do I count your faults and sins to tote them in a book?"

"I dream of unbelievable softness. I remember warmth at my side the likes of which can set my heart afire. I see in the dark before me softly glowing eyes of aqua, once tender in a moment of love, then flashing with defiance and anger, now dark and blue with some stirring I know I have cau #Quote by Kathleen E. Lines quotes by Irene Hunt
#189. I found lines that mirrored an ache and longing I had so often felt when the beauty around my woods cathedral was too intense, when the need to grasp and keep loveliness left me with a sense of desolate frustration. #Quote by Irene Hunt
Lines quotes by Anne Roiphe
#190. You wanted to live inside the lines where the ordinariness of everything would protect you from the dragons that lay at the edge of the map ready to blow fire in your face if you strayed off course, to the edge of the known world. #Quote by Anne Roiphe
Lines quotes by William Shakespeare
#191. Write till your ink be dry, and with your tears
Moist it again, and frame some feeling line

Lines quotes by Ruth Bernhard
#195. Light is my inspiration, my paint and brush. It is as vital as the model herself. Profoundly significant, it caresses the essential superlative curves and lines. Light I acknowledge as the energy upon which all life on this planet depends. #Quote by Ruth Bernhard
Lines quotes by Zadie Smith
#196. You want to believe there are limits to what money can make happen, lines it can't cross. #Quote by Zadie Smith
Lines quotes by Tahereh Mafi
#197. I've learned to stare at things. The walls. My hands. The cracks in the walls. The lines on my fingers. The shades of gray in the concrete. The shape of my fingernails. I pick one thing and stare at it for what must be hours. I keep time in my head by counting the seconds as they pass. I keep days in my head by writing them down. Today is day two. Today is the second day. Today is a day.
Today.
It's so cold. It's so cold. It's so cold.
Please please please
I started screaming today. #Quote by Tahereh Mafi
Lines quotes by Olivia Cunning
#198. Brian held up the three centermost fingers of his right hand. Read between the lines, asshole. #Quote by Olivia Cunning
Lines quotes by William Walker Atkinson
#199. The mind has been likened to a piece of paper that has been folded. Ever afterwards it has a tendency to fold in the same crease-unless we make a new crease or fold, when it will follow the last lines. #Quote by William Walker Atkinson
Lines quotes by Sylvia Day
#200. Has that line ever worked for anyone?"
"I'm not feeding you lines. I mean every word."
