Artsy Beach quotes by Abraham Pais
#1. The ultimate unification of weak and electromagnetic interactions has probably not yet been achieved, but a solid beach-head appears to have been established in terms of local non-Abelian gauge theories with spontaneous symmetry breakdown. As a result, it is now widely believed that weak interactions are mediated by massive vector mesons. Current expectations are that such mesons will be observed within the decade. It is widely believed that strong interactions are also mediated by local non-Abelian gauge fields. Their symmetry is supposed to be unbroken so that the corresponding vector mesons are massless. The dynamics of these 'non-Abelian photons' are supposed to prohibit their creation as single free particles. The technical exploration of this theory is in its early stages. #Quote by Abraham Pais
Artsy Beach quotes by John D. MacDonald
#2. The bathroom was humid with steam and soap. The elderly Palm Beach sybarite who had ordered the pleasure barge for his declining years had added many nice touches. #Quote by John D. MacDonald

#3. From that woman on the beach, dusk pours out across the evening waves. ISSA #Quote by Richard Flanagan
Artsy Beach quotes by Bear Grylls
#4. The summer of 1999, we went on holiday to Spain to visit my cousin Penny, who runs a horse farm in Andalucia. It is a beautiful, wild part of the country.
Shara would ride out early each day in the hilly pine forests and along the miles of huge, deserted Atlantic beaches. I was told I was too tall for the small Andalucian ponies.
But I didn't want to be deterred.
Instead I ran alongside Shara and tried to keep up with the horse. (Good training, that one.)
Eventually, on the Monday morning we were to leave, I took her down to the beach and persuaded her to come skinny-dipping with me. She agreed. (With some more eye-rolling.)
As we started to get out after swimming for some time, I pulled her toward me, held her in my arms, and prepared to ask for her hand in marriage.
I took a deep breath, steadied myself, and as I was about to open my mouth, a huge Atlantic roller pounded in, picked us both up, and rolled us like rag dolls along the beach.
Laughing, I went for take two. She still had no idea what was coming.
Finally, I got the words out. She didn't believe me.
She made me kneel on the sand (naked) and ask her again.
She laughed--then burst into tears and said yes.
(Ironically, on our return, Brian, Shara's father, also burst into tears when I asked him for his blessing. For that one, though, I was dressed in a jacket, tie, and…board shorts.)
I was unsure whether his were tears of joy or despair.

Artsy Beach quotes by Ninni Holmqvist
#5. That's all it was, the dream was just Jock and me and the stick and the beach and the sea and the sky and time passing by, and that was all, there was nothing else. And that was happiness. #Quote by Ninni Holmqvist
Artsy Beach quotes by Becca Fitzpatrick
#6. One hamburger stand on the entire beach. It felt un-American. #Quote by Becca Fitzpatrick
Artsy Beach quotes by Jude Watson
#7. Palm trees were fanned by a warm, light breeze, and they rolled down their windows to smell the sea. #Quote by Jude Watson
Artsy Beach quotes by Anthony J. Carson
#8. She was a blonde nearly young American woman of such dynamism that the tideless waves struggled to get farther up the beach. #Quote by Anthony J. Carson
Artsy Beach quotes by Daphne Kapsali
#9. On my last walk, I arrived at the beach just as the sun was being swallowed up by the horizon, at the edge of the sea. I allowed the twin feelings of melancholy and joy, sadness and awe to settle, and waded into the water. I dunked my head and flipped over and floated on my back. Deep breaths, eyes closed. And then I had one of those moments that we promise to remember, but always forget; one of those moments that can save our lives. It was a sense of being completely alone and completely connected. Of missing everyone and everything and nothing, absolutely nothing at all. Of being utterly bereft and entirely fulfilled. And I understood, for that moment, for that life-saving moment that I'll soon forget, what it means to be alive. That life is a balancing act between the things we long for and the things we have, between contentment and being restless for other, for more, between gratitude and self-pity, between the draw of hope and the pull of despair. And somewhere amidst all of this, amongst the chaos of conflicting emotions that make up the human psyche, at some place that's at its centre only in a metaphorical sense, there is a state of peace. Not neutral, because the contradictions don't cancel each other out, but balanced. A state of being aware of the feelings on either side, but not participating in them, of feeling both the draw and the pull and staying put. Of experiencing everything and nothing. That's how I felt, for a moment, as I floated in the sea on my back. #Quote by Daphne Kapsali
Artsy Beach quotes by Eva LaRue
#10. I love New York City for its energy. Pebble Beach, Carmel Beach and that all area, for its completely laid back energy. Paris for the charm, shopping and the glamour. #Quote by Eva LaRue
Artsy Beach quotes by Charlie Puth
#11. My first date ever, I was kind of nervous, so I was like, 'I'm going to bring Brady to this walk on the beach with this girl,' and she was like, 'Oh my gosh, I have a King Charles Cavalier, too.' I'm like, 'Money, perfect, amazing.' #Quote by Charlie Puth
Artsy Beach quotes by Ron Koertge
#12. She's selling CDs on the corner,
fifty cents to any stoner,
any homeboy with a boner.

Sleet and worse - the weather's awful.
Will she live? It's very doubtful.
Life out here is never healthful.

She puts a CD in her Sony.
It's the about the pony
and a pie with pepperoni

and a mom with warm, clean hands
who doesn't bring home guys from bands
or make some sickening demands.

The cold wind bites like icy snakes.
She tries to move but merely shakes.
Some thief leans down and simply takes.

Her next CD's called Land Of Food.
No one there can be tattooed
or mumble things that might be crude

and everything to eat is free,
there's always a big Christmas tree
and crystal bowls of potpourri.

She's weak but still she play one more:
She's on a beach with friends galore.
They scamper down the sandy shore

to watch the towering waves cascade
and marvel at the cute mermaids
who call to her and serenade.

She can't resist. the water's fine.
The rocks are like a kind of shrine.
The foam goes down like scarlet wine.

One cop stands up and says, "She's gone."
The other shakes his head and yawns.
It's barely 10:00, and life goes on. #Quote by Ron Koertge
Artsy Beach quotes by Bruce Johnston
#13. You know, The Beach Boys' image is kinda like a group Doris Day, you know what I mean? #Quote by Bruce Johnston
Artsy Beach quotes by Jamie Foxx
#14. In L.A. you can hide. I can hide at the beach, hide up in the hills. [In Miami] everybody is looking at you. #Quote by Jamie Foxx
Artsy Beach quotes by Gretchen Rubin
#15. Although people sometimes assume that the happy are self-absorbed and complacent, just the opposite is true. In general, happiness doesn't make people want to drink daiquiris on the beach; it makes them want to help rural villagers gain better access to clean water. #Quote by Gretchen Rubin
Artsy Beach quotes by Irene Hannon
#16. As she'd hoped, the two of them were the sole occupants of this stretch of windswept beach. Sipping the steaming liquid, she let the familiar peace seep into her soul. The cerulean water sparkled in the morning sun, as if sprinkled with diamonds, and she drew in a cleansing breath of the tangy salt air. She watched a sandpiper play tag with the surf. Listed to the caw of a gull high overhead and the muted thunder of the breaking waves. Felt the breeze caress her cheek. #Quote by Irene Hannon
Artsy Beach quotes by BEYOND THE GREAT INDOORS Ingvar Ambjørnsen
#17. All these anglers who claim that catching fish is secondary, that it's the trip and being outdoors that counts, they are just liars! If you go fishing, you want to catch fish! If the fish didn't matter, you might as well stay on the beach barbecuing sausages. #Quote by BEYOND THE GREAT INDOORS Ingvar Ambjørnsen
Artsy Beach quotes by Agatha Christie
#18. IF anybody had been there to observe the gentle-looking elderly
lady who stood meditatively on the loggia outside her bungalow,
they would have thought she had nothing more on her mind than
deliberation on how to arrange her time that day. An expedition, perhaps, to Castle Cliff; a visit to Jamestown; a nice drive and
lunch at Pelican Point_ or just a quiet morning on the beach.
But the gentle old lady was deliberating quite other matters. She
was in a militant mood. #Quote by Agatha Christie
Artsy Beach quotes by Hakan Nesser
#19. The waves dying a natural death on the beach seemed to have traveled vast distances bearing neither life nor hope. #Quote by Hakan Nesser
Artsy Beach quotes by Jordan Weisman
#20. Great art is like that. You can think you're a real hard-ass, with no use for artsy-fartsy jazz and then one of the greats hits you like a bullet though the heart. People talk about Tiger Woods, or Michael Jordan but if you really want to see a dude playing above the rim, spend half an hour looking at Picasso's from between the wars. The greats don't just want to score they want to dunk in your face. #Quote by Jordan Weisman
Artsy Beach quotes by Lisa Jewell
#21. Just as you say that there's no shame in getting older, I think there's no shame in being naked. And don't you think," she continues, "that if people say you shouldn't be allowed to ban burkinis on the beach then, really, the natural extrapolation of that is that full nudity shouldn't be banned either. Like, who decides which bit of a body should or shouldn't be seen in public? If you're saying that one woman legally has to cover her breasts and her minge, then how can you tell another woman that she's not allowed to cover her legs or her arms? I mean, how does that even make sense? #Quote by Lisa Jewell
Artsy Beach quotes by Randy Pausch
#22. I was trying to put myself in a bottle that would one day wash up on the beach for my children. If I were a painter, I would have painted for them. If I were a musician, I would have composed music. But I am a lecturer. So I lectured. #Quote by Randy Pausch
Artsy Beach quotes by Barbara Kingsolver
#23. Soon the maroon-throated howls would echo back from the other trees, father down the beach, until the whole jungle filled with roaring trees. As it was in the beginning, so it is every morning of the world. #Quote by Barbara Kingsolver
Artsy Beach quotes by Nancy Thayer
#24. You know if you pick up a beach read, you're excused from the problems in your own life and safe in a world with conflicts you understand, and you know you will get a happy ending. #Quote by Nancy Thayer
Artsy Beach quotes by Kate Chopin
#25. You are burnt beyond recognition, he added, looking at his wife as one looks at a valuable piece of personal property which has suffered some damage. She held up her hands, strong, shapely hands, and surveyed them critically, drawing up her fawn sleeves above the wrists. Looking at them reminded her of her rings, which she had given to her husband before leaving for the beach. She silently reached out to him, and he, understanding, took the rings from his vest pocket and dropped them into her open palm. She slipped them upon her fingers; then clasping her knees, she looked across at Robert and began to laugh. The rings sparkled upon her fingers. He sent back an answering smile. #Quote by Kate Chopin
Artsy Beach quotes by Mary Ruefle
#26. I have become an orchid
washed in on the salt white beach.
what can I make of it now
that might please you-
this life, already wasted
and still strewn with miracles? #Quote by Mary Ruefle
Artsy Beach quotes by Chris Kraus
#27. That spring everyone in Judy Chicago's class collaborated on a 24 hour performance called Route 126. The curator Moira Roth recalls: "the group created a sequence of events throughout the day along the highway. The day began with Suzanne Lacy's Car Renovation in which the group decorated an abandoned car…and ended with the women standing on a beach watching Nancy Youdelman, wrapped in yards of gossamer silk, slowly wade out to sea until she drowned, apparently…" There's a fabulous photo taken by Faith Wilding of the car - a Kotex-pink jalopy washed up on desert rocks. The trunk's flung open and underneath it's painted cuntblood red. Strands of desert grass spill from the crumpled hood like Rapunzel's fucked-up hair. According to Performance Anthology - Source Book For A Decade Of California Art, this remarkable event received no critical coverage at the time though contemporaneous work by Baldessari, Burden, Terry Fox boasts bibliographies several pages long. Dear Dick, I'm wondering why every act that narrated female lived experience in the '70s has been read only as "collaborative" and "feminist." The Zurich Dadaists worked together too but they were geniuses and they had names. #Quote by Chris Kraus
Artsy Beach quotes by Lee Morgan
#28. Would you teach me, Seth?'
Seth smiled and leaned back in his seat.
'You do realise, of course, that you have no idea what you ask of me?' Seth replied after a moment.
'Of course,' Christopher replied quietly. 'Could you tell me?'
'No. That is the problem you see,' Seth said. 'Magic is something you can never prepare someone for. Magic will make you, Christopher. It will find all the secret empty places of longing in you and fill them more surely than any other love. And magic will break your heart.' A slight, rather sad smile crossed Christopher's face for a moment. 'I know what you're thinking. You think your heart is already broken, you think that this crooked and winding way is the only path left for you now. But you're wrong. The heart breaks like every wave on the beach and there's a darkness you'll have to pass through that you can't even see from where you are now. #Quote by Lee Morgan
Artsy Beach quotes by Karch Kiraly
#29. The indoor game is much more of a team game, having to work effectively with a group of 15 to 20 people, striving to improve every day, every drill, even every contact. The beach game is much more of an individual game within a team sport, much less about organized practices with coaches and much more about just playing the game. #Quote by Karch Kiraly
Artsy Beach quotes by Tyler, The Creator
#30. I want the cheesy dates at the movies, the stupid walks at the beach and sharing straws in a cup #Quote by Tyler, The Creator
Artsy Beach quotes by Joanna Walsh
#31. Despite everything, we are good people, who can hardly live in this world that continues almost entirely at our expese. The best thing is to keep on moving arms and legs, and watch the waves, almost as though moving forward. In this way, despair turns quickly over to happiness, and back to despair again. And, if you reach the beach, walk back across it like everything is fine, toward your family who would not like to see the abyss you have just swum over. #Quote by Joanna Walsh
Artsy Beach quotes by Holly McPeak
#32. I grew up on the beach and played side-out scoring all my life, but rally scoring is better for our sport. There is pressure on every play. You can't make a mistake, but that also means your opponent can't make a mistake. It makes the matches more exciting to watch. #Quote by Holly McPeak
Artsy Beach quotes by William Fitzsimmons
#33. If it is a good song, it is a good song. The Beatles were pop, the beach boys were pop and it's the best music of all time. #Quote by William Fitzsimmons
Artsy Beach quotes by Denise Hunter
#34. Honey, what happened to your arm?" Rita frowned, reached over, and ran her fingers across the bruises. "Both of them!" she added, noticing the other arm. The sleeves of her cover-up had ridden up. Meridith pulled them down. "Oh. It's nothing. A guest caught me by surprise last night." "What? Did he attack you, Meridith?" "Sort of, but Jake came and, well, kind of punched him, and everything's fine now." "Jake . . . ?" "The contractor I told you about." "Oh, right. Thank God he was there! Did you call the police?" "No. Jake booted him and his friends from the house." "But are you okay? You must have been terrified!" Meridith nodded. "I was. I was so relieved when Jake showed up. It was late at night, and I was alone on the beach - won't do that again." She gave a dry laugh. "I'm just glad you're okay. This Jake guy seems like quite the hero." She'd only vocalized what Meridith had been thinking. "We're lucky to have him around. #Quote by Denise Hunter
Artsy Beach quotes by Eben Alexander
#35. Small particles of evil were scattered throughout the universe, but the sum total of all that evil was as a grain of sand on a vast beach compared to the goodness, abundance, hope, and unconditional love in which the universe was literally awash. The very fabric of the alternate dimension is love and acceptance, and anything that does not have these qualities appears immediately and obviously out of place there. #Quote by Eben Alexander
Artsy Beach quotes by Channing Tatum
#36. I don't like doing action movies. They're not that interesting ... it's fun to do the physical element but the really fun stuff, like running into exploding buildings, they won't let you do. There's too much money riding on you not getting hurt. But yes, there's something exhilarating in just sitting on a beach with somebody having a real conversation. There's something exhilarating about being open and honest. #Quote by Channing Tatum
Artsy Beach quotes by Karen Kingsbury
#37. Life was not all laughter and mornings at the beach. It was okay to cry. #Quote by Karen Kingsbury
Artsy Beach quotes by Paul F. Tompkins
#38. I didn't want to have to call a cab if I went to the supermarket. So I eventually got a bike, just a beach cruiser, and I rode that thing all over town. I rode it everywhere. I rode it in the rain, I rode it as much as I possibly could. Anytime I could afford the independence of the bike, I used the bike. #Quote by Paul F. Tompkins
